Hmm... when would I NOT want it to happen?? lol I don't know what you mean by the circumstances... I loved it. I mean, I really don't want it to be a stranger. I'm the kind of girl who needs (craves) emotional intimacy along with the physical. The guy I was with was just a friend, and it would've been so much better if it had been someone I was in love with. As for where, or when, or why: I think about all kinds of places. Home. His office. The elevator (going down? lol). While I'm at the dentist getting my teeth cleaned. (I've asked my dentist and he said he really won't mind if I ever decide to bring a guy there for that kinda thing.) (Sorry, I'm kidding.) All different times, too. I'm so sad to say that yes, I really am leaving Lit. I'm gonna miss you guys like crazy! I've only been here for... wow, less than a month! But I've already come to love so many of you. You guys have really helped me become a better person, strange as that may sound. I'll definitely post a goodbye message right before I leave (I'll be here for another day or two) but I wanted to give you a chance to absorb the shock of losing me. Why do we start our I'm a nerd reply's by saying: "I wear glasses, I like to read, I'm smart therefore I'm a nerd." Are we just embellishing the stereotype's that have led others to punish us? I just finished school with a computer science & economics degree. I'm smart, I don't wear glasses, I hate reading for pleasure. I snowboard, mtn bike, wake board, and rock climb. So maybe I'm not a nerd. I did this before this things were "kewl" or "extreme". I was looked at as strange and still am. I don't watch real world, I don't shop in trendy malls, or listen to "pop". Mainstream for the sake of mainstream blows. But yet, one day I want a nice job that pays a lot of money, maybe suit & tie. I adore tech TV, and when I'm bored draw animae. Discovery channel, TLC is even better. So maybe I am a nerd. Yes, no doubt smart chics rock! The best sex is from a women that can think about what she's doing. The sexiest chics I know are unique, different, themselves. They don't have to wear glasses, they don't have to fit stereotypes...we don't have to fit stereotypes. What is a nerd? My $.02.

I have to agree with you on many points regarding definition of geekiness. I was a jock when I was younger, ran with a "bad" crowd, but belonged to the chess club and played D&D.

With the exception of the ladies (I graciously offered myself and a method of determination), I believe this thread is more for those who appreciate intelligence and confidence in women.

LOL I started it with that, deliberately pointing out the stereotypical traits of being a "nerd" mainly to be funny, and to show I couldn't care less what anyone wants to label me as. I am myself, totally an individual, and I have many none nerdy hobbies....same as everyone else on here. But cause I do wear glasses (cause I find contacts irritating), love to read, have a nerdy career.....why not share it LOL

As Homer posted a while back, no one is disqualified from counting themselves as a nerd, if they want to stand up and say it. But frankly, after being considered a bit weird, too smart for the other students, a loner. etc.....I am proud of my so-called "nerd" status now. I follow my own path, head held high, and welcome anyone that wants to join me for a brief time, always looking for something new to learn.

Sorry if I went on a bit, but I hate being accused of thinking we have to fit a stereotype. But if we can't poke fun at ourselves and the people who think they are better than anyone who doesn't wear designer clothes, follow the latest trend, and can actually think for themselves...and then turn around and try and pigeonhole us, what's the point in all this?
