I think it sounds... very... scientific. :D lol

Although I happen to think it would be slightly more interesting if you took out the part about telling them of the study goals... and I'll stand by and watch you conduct the experiment. Don't worry, I've heard that the sting of a good slap in the face doesn't last TOO long. ;)

Actually, I really do think that'd be an interesting study. I might take a survey of my friends one of these days or somethin'.

Mandie

I expect the "slap in the face" would be the most common result. Perhaps I will reserve my population study to an n of 1..you on a warm night in a private place :rose:

I did see a group of psyc students get away with an impromptu study where they asked girls if they could photograph their breasts (clothed, just there on the street). Most said yes and they never got slapped.

I'd say that it depends on the genre of dancing, and the extent of the commitment...I've known a few dancing nerds.

The other likely cause of death is also spontaneous combustion, only this time from all the activity generating heat... with my husband. :p (No, I'm not married yet. :p)

LOL I guessed the beer reference, but not a big Nascar fan. I am in the Porsche Club.....have an older one set up for track that I enjoy "racing" on weekends when I have the time.

Hi Redathena...

I think that dancing as though you know what you are doing is certainly questionable, if you have no clue you're fine with your membership as an official nerd.

I see several mentions of scrabble... as I was growing up my father was the best scrabble player ever.... he knew so many words that even if he bluffed and invented a word he was never questioned, he was always able to invent a plausible sounding definition for anything he put on the board.

I still like scrabble..... i suspect it's a dying game since it does not involve celebrities, pop culture or a chance to sell records (oops CDs).

Vvvrrrroooommmm

So you like it fast, do ya'? ;) Making my pistons pump....

Must be a pretty big club to rent the track for a weekend.

Records--telling your age :D ***he says as he changes his 8 track***

LOL I do like fast cars.......or things that get my engine going

The club is pretty big, we usually have a 150 cars there for the weekend. It is a lot of fun.

And scrabble is one of my favorite games still :) with boggle running a close second.

I think we're up to drinks and a massage for you... while mixing the two might cause a spilled drink or three, I'd be sure not to let anything go to waste...:D

Ooh, Boggle's fun, too! Jeez, I'm so into games... I could prob'ly fill a whole page, or have my own thread just about my favorite things to play. Notice I said 'things' - which includes Nurse, School, etc. ;)

Someone asked what kinda movies nerdy chicks watch. I watch anything that can make me laugh till I cry, cry till I run out of tears, or hold onto the person next to me, even if it's a stranger, because I'm so scared. Dead Poets' Society is one of my favorite movies ever, but I can't watch it because I end up crying for at least a week afterward, and go into this weird funk... Another favorite is The Princess Bride. My friends and I quote from it all the live-long day. :D Love romantic movies, too, like Ever After - any version of the Cinderella story, actually: Rogers' and Hammerstein's, Disney, If The Shoe Fits, blah blah blah. The Sixth Sense and What Lies Beneath were really really good, too. So there ya go, just a sampling... but those are really more the 'popular' ones. I'll tell ya a few of my more, um, obscure favorites some other time. *blushing*

LOL sounds delightful, but one question for you? Where do we find a place to meet that will allow us to indulge in both activities?

hey new guy here. any "nerdy chicks" in the SE WI area?

Hiya, angston! Nice ta meetcha - welcome to Lit, and especially the oh-so-awesome nerdy chicks thread! ;) I'm sorry to say that I'm on the other side of the country, so I'm no use to ya in that department. I'm sure there are lotsa great women on here that are, though. :) Even though I'm not closeby, you'd better stay and talk to me anyway! ;)

I just got back from getting my hair cut, and this might sound so ridiculous, but I feel sexier than ever! The fact that the vetrinarian flirted with me again today didn't hurt, either. It's the second time I've brought my kitten in to see him, and both times have felt very... electric, I guess I could say, although that doesn't sound like quite the right word. He's young, single, good-looking, and when we go into that little room alone together... (well, with my kitten, but still! lol) It's very intimate. Who knew a vet's office could be so erotic? lol

I'm going out with friends now, but I'll be back later - er, earlier? - and probably back on here. This danged site. Ugh. Has me hooked. :p As if you hadn't noticed... I just love talking to y'all! I have way mucho alotta to say on a certain subject, so I'll be starting a new thread soon, and I'm hoping some of you guys will come check it out. I think you'll find it a fun one. :) Have a great weekend, guys!!!

Renaissance faire

Believe it or not, I'm going to a Renaissance faire tommorrow! Found one going on outside of Richmond. Going to get up early and drive up there!

If only my old gang could see me now! oh, now I'm depressed. Most are dead and the rest are in prison.

P.S. please excuse all the spelling mistakes in my posts. I have gotten wayyyy too comfortable with spellcheck on my normal systems.

Howdy,

Just one of your original cultist here. Hope you have fun. Will be thinking about ya'.

BTW, open input from everyone on the definition of virgin. What constitutes virginity in men and women. Does a broken hymen count or is it actual penetration with a man? Does oral count? Anal? How about mutual masturbation. Just thinking....

Welcome angst......not from your area either, but don't give up, there are lots of us out there

bashfull......been thinking about your question....I think you can be a virgin in any of those areas....but for the main virgin title, I think for me it would be actual penetration. LOL I remember when I was a "technical" virgin, meaning I had done all but penetration.
