You know once upon a time there was a huge nerd thread and community here. The posters all grew older and found relationships and kids started appearing, but there are always more nerds to show up ;)

I have watched two episodes of Voyager today. Purchased two sets on Monster sleeves. Spent a few hours playing Neverwinter on my PS4.

I watched the first 4 episodes of Stranger Things today! Finally! And yes, I love it. :)

Off topic maybe, but I couldn't find this thread for a few minutes, I thought it disappeared. Subscribing now... And you guys have to talk more!!! :p

I love my mmos, just never got very far in that one, as it was a busy time in my life.

I've tried some others but just can't get into them. I guess I've invested too much time/effort into WOW. My /played stats are scary lol. I pay the sub with in game gold so other than $$ for x-pacs, it's free for me :D
 
I saw a movie preview last night for "Space between us". It's about a boy who is born on Mars. He grows up there with a small team of scientists (his mother dies during birth). Then he comes to Earth and escapes his controlled environment. Yes, it's a love story of sorts. But the nerd part of me was really intrigued about the notion of a person growing up on another planet for over 10 years and how they would do here with gravity, color, etc. I'll be seeing that movie! :cool:

well, for one thing, I think gravity is slightly less on Mars, like .94 g, compared to Earth's 1 g. So he would feel heavier, and not move as quickly....

I can't wait to see that...the idea of Mars colonization makes my brain race.with potential possibilities and pitfalls, and the evolutionary response the human body might have to a different gravity and such is part of that...

20 Minutes more or less... 'meh' staid 'meh'. I really, really am waiting for DC to finally get their DCEU act together.


The almost perfection of Suicide Squad trailers makes me fear they may have blown their load too early, too soon. :(

And Jared is a horrible Joker, so much is clear already from the trailers. What did they expect? Together with one-liner master Smith they surely didn't seem to have too many hopes, or hunger for that matter.

Until the obvious happened and once again Snyder blew it. Something really needs to happen because while Marvel has only just started with its MCU (Doctor Strange will literally open the 'doors'), the DCEU is a friggin' mess.

How many more movies are Goyer and Snyder signed up for? Tell me they are about to face Deadshot? I think Goyer's contract is finished already and Snyder only has Justice League (plus sequel) anymore as director?

I absolutely hated BvS. DC making Ben Affleck an executive producer is a good move, as he can hopefully make sure the story telling is decent. Snyder does make some decent action scenes, but all the bits inbetween are fucking rubbish.

Set up to the justice league. They gave up entirely too much information and changed too many things. I didn't like lex luthor either
