Otherwise, I say use this as an excuse to invest in a new XBox 360. The new "Slim" ones are a lot quieter, have better ventillation (big fan on one of the big sides, and vents along either end of the machine). Plus, they have built-in wifi, which can make setting them up for XBox Live or streaming video a lot easier.

(If anyone is curious, a full red ring means "A/V cord is unplugged", as opposed to a 3/4 ring which is a general hardware failure. Or maybe it means "A/V Cord unplugged, and one of the red LED lights is broken" :D)

Well, I'll be getting into the training program for a promotion on Oct 16 that increases my pay rate from What Do You Mean You Eat Every Day? to Why Yes, I Can Pay Four Months Of Rent With This Month's Pay and Eat Decently.

Believe me, if I suddenly came into money, out of nowhere, I'd visit my frozen neighbors to the north. More than a few of you I'd like to meet.

Nice! Does your wage go up effective as soon as you start the training or upon completion?

KP is currently waiting on getting into the management program at her work, which will give her a 50% pay raise. It'll be nice to be able to pay down our debts faster :p
 
As soon as I get a chance to enroll in and complete Airman Leadership School, I'll finally get to pin on Staff Sergeant, which comes with a $200 a month raise over my current grade of Senior Airman.

Did I mention that this raise will be retroactive to July? Yay backpay!

Of course, with backpay comes the heartbreak of Finance getting confused and fucking up my pay. Again. You have to hold their hands sometimes.

Moderate increase during training, full upon completion. Honestly, the training will amount to 'Go relearn visual basic,' so I'm not expecting any huge challenge.

Glad to hear she's getting promoted too! Huzzah!

... So, why is the Ego loose again?

The Ego is loose because Firefox keeps freezing up on me and it's incredibly frustrating, so I've been using Google Chrome. I've got the cookies saved to login with Ego on this browser, for convenience sake. *shrug* matters not to me which account I post from after all.


Yay for visual basic re-training :p (I tried to teach myself once... it didn't seem overly hard, but I decided not to finish. Didn't end up wanting to program in it)

VB's not hard, it's just not real useful, save specific instances. Least as I remember it.
