Hmmm I'm wondering how far I would categorize myself as a nerd...

An insatiable enjoyment derived from the pursuit of knowledge, and the ability to be turned on by intellect - is that intelligence or being nerdy? Or do they mean the same thing? I don't know, to me, 'nerdy' carries a slightly different connotation than to being intellectual.

I am a science idiot though I'll give you that. The arts rule.

Yes and no. It's really from the CDC, but it's tongue in cheek. For most of the "be prepared" steps, it mentions in passing that you could do the same thing to be prepared for hurricanes or earthquakes as well.

*shrug* No clue.. I stopped regularly posting at Lit some time back. Whenever I'd return there'd be less and less nerds in the threads I used to frequent. There's a few new threads kicking around, but they just don't feel the same.

Evidently the new show has a lot of scenes like that. There's at least two scenes where the Doctor scares off some horrific baddie by basically introducing himself.
