Nerd Power!

So, I won a contest at work and got a set of 200 watt Klipsch speakers as a result... I must say, I had a nerd-gasm when I hooked them up and tried 'em out. I've never had such nice computer speakers before. Usually stick to 100 dollar logitech desktop speakers as my high end. LOVING this

Hah, reminds me of the $100 Bose headphones I got in a drawing at the club on base. Sound super nice, and super comfortable, except that they make my ears sweaty :-(

Woo, just beat Mass Effect 2! So a minor question, since I didn't get the "Everybody Lives" ending, but some quick reading showed me what I need to do to get it. Do I load a save game before where I messed up, and save everybody, or do I just take what I got and move on for the sake of storytelling?

And a random question: Looking at getting this video card for a good deal, evidently it cost $300 retail 9 months ago, but the guy is selling it for $150 because he can't use it in Linux. My power supply may or may not be able to run it (the specs "recommend" a 500w power supply with two 75W connectors. I've got a 500w power supply with a single PCI-E connector.) So do I drop the $150 in the video card and hope it works, and if it doesn't, drop another $100 next paycheck on a new power supply?

Or should I just shrug and spend my money somewhere else, given that my close to 4 year old video card (it doesn't even have a fan, for goodness sake, just a big old wicked copper heat sink) is still pulling its weight on the games I play?

Another nerd thread that I seem to have missed.
Anyways, glad I found it, the more nerds the better.

I work in a hospital running the labs. so i'm all about microbiology(bacteria, viruses) and biochemistry.

Interesting. I'm a 3rd year pharmacy student, and I want to do a residency in infectious disease.

How is it in the lab?

Well yeah. Lots of soap and IPA every time you pass a bottle. Which is even 10 feet...

I have learned that you either like biology or chemistry. If you love biology, not a fan of chemistry and vice versa. I don't speak chemistry very well.

I see, well at least we're more in sync than those physics people. With their theoretical particles and atom smashing ambitions.

I felt like such a geek when I knew what each type of port they are :p. Stupid computer geek hubbie is rubbing off on me :p
