Bugs in programming are declared "undocumented features" by most of the top companies so that they don't sound so negative. How's that for BS?

Iron Man 2 was okay.

I enjoyed it. A co-worker said the plot jumped around a lot, but I found the story was smooth enough. Yes, lots of explosions, but overall not bad.

Super hero movies have come a long way since the original Batman and Superman movies :p

well needless to say even though the women in question is the one causing my confusion... and i am stating exactly what i am thinking and feeling she claims i am the only confusing one....gah lol.

Welcome to the club. Push, pull, push, pull. We're always at the oppostite side of their thinking.

I thought it was rather good myself. Only one or two head-meet-desk moments in the movie (which for a comic book movie, isn't that bad at all. At least they didn't do something like take a character who is known for being an incessant smartass and sew his mouth shut like some OTHER Marvel movie...)

I got a kick out of the RoboCop 2 shout-out too, as I'm sure many folks caught it...

which robocop 2 shout out. i dont really remember i saw it opening night so i dont remember that part much. But i almost had a nerdgamasm when i saw Cap's shield proto type. and i almost fell out of my seat when he used it to prop his thing up...

Not to spoil anything for the movie (of course, let's not ruin the fun for the other nerds who haven't seen it yet. I had to wait a week for payday and somehow managed to duck all the major spoilers that weren't in the first trailer), but the bit during the senate hearing near the very start of the movie.

Basically, they end up watching video clips of Iron Man knock-off prototypes being tested in North Korea, Iran, and at HammerTech, Stark Industries' main rival company. All three videos quickly end disastrously (one even has blood splatter on the camera lens).

It's straight out of RoboCop 2, when they watch the test videos of the various RoboCop 2 prototypes.

Yeah, all in all I rather enjoyed it (but then again I enjoyed Wolverine Origins as well :p )

I didn't catch the reference, but see what you mean now. Funny you mention it, Robocop was on TV last night

One thing Pixie noticed is there is a scene on the trailer that was missing from the movie. In one of the trailers he runs and jumps out of an airplane while saying "You complete me" to Pepper. Not in the movie.

Yeah, they start RIGHT after he'd get the kiss from her. It has the effect of sorta lurching you into the movie, almost as if you'd just fallen out of an airplane (which, given the shot in that scene, at least fits with what's going on.)

Did I mention how hilarious the CLANG sound effect was in that scene? :-D

i didnt really notice the clang lol

Yeah, he's diving through a fireworks display, and catches one of the fireworks right in the face. *CLANG* He gets better, though. :D

oh that part. i thought you meant he had a clang while he was getting the kiss from her. which a clang sound would be funny.

Since I see Spins is on, I've got no choice but to bump this :)

Now, I proclaim, from this day forward shall this thread be revived. Nerds, to your keyboards!

Did I hear somebody cast Revive?

I just saw Daybreakers on DVD. Good movie, wish I caught it in the theatre. See it if you like vampire movies, and see it if you like classic muscle cars.:D

Basic premise is that the Vampires have taken over the world, and now that 95% of the human race has been vamp'd, there is world wide blood famine. Plot ensues.

Also, Despicable Me. All of you are REQUIRED to see it. Just for the Minions. Love those guys. :D

Despicable Me is on the list :)

Last movie we saw in theatres was Shrek 3, we enjoyed it muchly. Before that was "Get Him to the Greek" which was awesome

Last film we saw in theaters was The Last Airbender (in 2D!). It was... well the action sequences were entertaining and Uncle Iroh was awesome.

Before that, we saw the A-Team. It was exactly what was advertised. One plot point was kinda retarded in how they executed it, and only one other part of the movie particularly bugged me. Great film otherwise. Bonus points for having Jessica Biel in uniform (yet again) which is great for those of us into that sort of thing.
