But now is the time for the Empress to come clean about something she has not yet mentioned.

Since October of last year I have been seeing someone. He's currently in Basic in the Air National Guard ..yeah Lackland woohoo. He will be coming to spend two weeks with me after since his tech school won't start for about a year.


That being said I have nothing against flirty conversation and the smarter the Sexier!!!!



On a more serious note Corey Haim was found dead in his home today. He was 38 years old and died of an apparent accidental drug over dose. For those of you drawing a black he was the lighter haired of the two Corey's of 1980's fame. RIP Lost Boy

Sad news about Corey Haim, although I have no memory of him whatsoever.:(

Speaking of nerdy things, I learned today of yet *another* military jet based on the Boeing 707. So far I've found the KC-135, RC-135, EC-135, E-3, E-6 (a NAVY jet based on the 707 no less), E-8, and the C-137 (amusingly, all of the C-137s got converted into KC-135s).

This list gets even crazier when you consider that a lot of the RC-135s and EC-135s are short-production run specialized variants designed for a very few kinds of missions.

Also today, I got to see an RC-135 (unusual sight here at McConnell AFB, a base which only flies the KC-135 tanker) and one of the Boeing Dreamlifters (the big bulged-out version of the Boeing 747). And last week, I saw one of the Boeing KC-767s that they are working on for the Italian Air Force (hopefully we'll start getting those for our own air force soon).

Huh. Very interesting. It does stand to reason that there would be so many variations on such a simple and effective design... Not THAT many shapes or ways something that large can fly with anything resembling fuel economy.

Hmm i am tempted to try to stir up interest in this thread again though.... It was really fun... any other geek threads you guys have been hanging your hat at lately? I have been on geek girls online's forum more... but life is just busy lately.

hubbie is there now, hope he gets home soon, hate being home alone on a stormy night during tornado season. :(
 
grats on the marriage. It was so good. Make sure to stay after the movie credits though... alot of people left for some reason in our theater. I guess the thread isn't totally dead.

Hah, yeah, storms suck, but nothing's better than being inside a solid house during one, knowing that your fortress is impenetrable. :D

The other night, the wife and I ended up going on base to get in a storm shelter there. Never occurred to me that there'd be no suitable place to shelter in my own apartment complex in a tornado. :eek:
