Rape the freaking fairies, step on the mouse, and pull the ears off the fucking princesses.

I am not opposed to this course of action, with minor editing.

I finally got the Fallout 3 GotY edition. Always loved Fallout, but now, Fallout owns my soul. The rest of my life is forfeit. There is only the Capital Wasteland now.

Stopping by to say hello!

Hi!

I just finished the first half of the first season of Glee (second half of the season starts in April). Lovin this show. :D

And I signed up for the "Boot Camp" PT program they have at our gym. It is kicking my ass, but I need the help for my PT eval next month. Wheeeee.

Cleric, I have no seen you online in weeks now. Unacceptable!

That is not dead which can eternally lie, and with strange eons, even death may die.

This (un)holy place cannot be permitted to fall into disrepair.

Nerds, I am proud to announce that the game engine (still fething unnamed) is going into play testing within two months. Ducks are getting into lines, but I still lack an artist. Anyone willing to draw/paint some horrible monsters from the imagination of yours truly?

Got back from AggieCon the other day. Had lots of fun, hung out with some friends.

So, I was hanging out at a friend's house, when I went to use her bathroom. Turns out she has a rather intricate looking rabbit vibrator that sits on the counter top in there o_O

Honestly, I'd never seen anything like it. It had like, a control panel, with lots of buttons, and it looked like it had ball bearings inside of it. o_O

He he he Ah, the days of leaving the intricate Japanese vibrators out in public for shock and awe value:D! Outgrew those after the incident of a guest co-opting the bathroom too long to take it for a test drive:devil:. I let her keep it.

They get terribly sophisticated...

I bought a multi-speed-setting g-spot seeking bullety thing from an ex who sold Pure Romance stuff. Goddamn thing needed an instruction manual, and two guys to turn keys at the same time.

Wyld, really? She (presumed) took it for a test drive without permission? Aren't there social etiquette-y bits to be observed when sharing sex toys?

Yeppers, there sure are which is why I let her keep it and she never made another invite list.

I'm not bothering to read this entire thread, but I've done my part. Since it's main post I've given birth twice to future nerds. They already sit though sci-fi shows and my son informed my mother today that Pluto is no longer a planet.

Looking good on the end.

so my real life friend posted this video of herself that she did for her then bf (now husband to be) and well it rocks. and i thought everyone would like it.

Haha, nice. The romantic version of Conventional Lover. I like it.

Carter, welcome aboard! You've kinda caught us all at a slower point, but congratulations on increasing our numbers. Never understood the big hooplah about Pluto not being a planet... We don't really have a good scientific definition about what constitutes a planet, so disowning the smallest in our little solar family seems ridiculous. Shrug.

it think it was due to its size and core temperature it was down graded. and greetings and welcome. Happy GM day to all the die rolling geeks out there.

It was also due to its size, irregular orbit, and its mutual orbit with Charon. On the planet supporting end, it's obviously spherical (instead of the normal potato shaped debris/comets/asteroids we typically see), maintains a stable orbit, and has an atmosphere.

GM Appreciation Day has snuck up on me again!

I propose, in the interests of conversation, we discuss what you believe is the true mark of a nerd. What makes a nerd a nerd?

Intelligence? Social awkwardness? Hobbies?

I propose that what marks a man or woman as a nerd is their dedication to a subject matter that few could ever appreciate. We pour hours of our lives into projects that only our elite peers will possibly understand, and this leads to our bonding. The DM that crafts a masterful adventure, the otaku who edits an AMV, or the miniatures gamer who paints tiny starships or army men. Some question why we do it, but we revel in the accolades of our enlightened comrades.

That's what I think makes a nerd.

I think that our esteemed Cleric has an excellent idea and a good definition started.

I would expand on this perhaps into the social fringes. Nerds tend to keep under the radar when socially exposed and yet shine in their respective fields of Nerdom when given even the slightest provocation.

A unique and somewhat mysterious duality of social awkwardness and then a near expert level diatribe on some potentially culturally irrelevant trivia that matters only to others in the same Nerd head space.

I personally love that switch when it flips, I love seeing the nerd boy come into his own "Superman" when he talks about computers, comics, movies, games what have you. I think it's a real turn on to be honest.

So there is my contribution.

Discuss?

Uhm, ditto? :-D

Now, if you'd like to be turned on, I could talk to you at length about airplanes, military history, Photography, or Star Trek. :D:rose:
