Hah, well, after the party, she wanted to be social with some of the folks from the dorm, most of whom I can pretty much tolerate. So, an hour or so of freezing at the smoke pit while my knees got more and more sore later, we finally went home and went to sleep.

Tonight we were doing laundry at her dorm, and rather than go home and work on putting together my new desk like we had planned, she wanted to be social again (I found that, with one exception, most of them are somewhat less tolerable when I'm sober and tired). Oi.

As for V, I caught bits and pieces. Pretty sure ABC doesn't have enough talented writers to fill a paper bag, and I kept waiting for Fillion to waltz in. The stabbing and Ianara and what not.

Does it have the original short the series is based on? I thought it was a riot.

I saw the first season of the series and thought it started well,but kinda petered out near the end.

No they didn't have the pilot or the trailer, but I did get to see those on Youtube.

I'm not sure which I liked the best the pilot or the treatment that got televised. I found the absolute raunch of the pilot to be a howl, but I have to say I liked what they did with Six for the show too. I found all three seasons to be worth a few giggles. Could have lost the lizard but otherwise giggleworthy.

Nerds; tomorrow evening, me and three other schmucks are hunting a Tarasque in a one shot D&D3.5 game. We were given 24 hours notice and told to roll a 20th level character with a million gold each.

I'm a happy little nerd. See, I've never killed a Tarasque before. Sure, I've nailed a demon or two, even soloed an Adult Red at level 13 once. But nothing this big.

Oh yes, this High Priest is happier than a Zenythri in a legal firm.

It's the end times!

Today when I was at work, icy wet stuff began falling from the sky! My car was partially covered in this stuff like what they make snow cones out of... but without the cherry flavoring!

So yeah, it's officially winter now, and it's officially fucking cold and windy here in Kansas. I'm told I get to enjoy this until March.

Oh, also, I got to help out in a training exercise where a crapton of people had to suit up in chemical warfare suits.

So, fun fact, some of these suits (maybe the current ones too, but I think specifically the older ones) use charcoal as a filtering agent to keep various bad things from coming in contact with you. What this means is that every time you take one of these things out of the bag, there is a bit of charcoal dust that gets kicked out. Unless the suit is damaged, and then a BUNCH of charcoal dust pours out. That shit gets EVERYWHERE.

Basically, I was breathing charcoal dust from 7AM until 2PM today, with a break for lunch. Went to blow my nose, and I covered the tissue in black stuff

So yeah, I had fun today. My apartment is almost clean today, partially because the apartment handyman is coming by tomorrow and I don't want him to think I'm a TOTAL slob.

Rargh! Goddammit, Persona Franchise! Why? Why can't a protagonist get a happy ending? Not bad enough that the whole last month was spent with a small group of now suicidally depressed teenagers, but the whole trek up the tower was spent thinking, oh, this'll be fun. Immortal, unkillable, death god thing. Whee. Let's definitely go fight that while everyone we're saving has no fraking clue. But hey, cool, Universe Persona. I can get behind that. Last fight's scripted, but ok. I was even cool with the self sacrifice bit, it fits, and was done well. BUT TO EVEN HINT FOR FETHING FOUR MINUTES THAT EVERYONE MIGHT NOT REMEMBER AND LET ME SOUL-LESSLY WANDER FOR A FEW DAYS AFTER THE FIGHT? Uncool Atlus. Uncool. Oh, you might say, Aigis remembered, and everyone else did, eventually, too! Great! But, other than the robot, not one goddamn friend makes it in time to watch you slip into a coma or die!

Atlus, I'm not asking for a butterflies and bunnies Disney-esque happy ending, but let me walk away from the game thinking it was all worth it or that the sacrifice was not entirely in vain.

Rargh.

are you talking about P4 my sis just finished that... so not my type of game and from what you said i would have just been depressed at the end so i am glad i skipped this one. My emotions have already been effected by Ah! My Goddess lol.
