Hey, a random thought for anyone that watches BattleStar Galactica and Stargate:SG1/Atlantis.

Does anyone else see a vague similarity between the Earth battlecruisers (Prometheus and Daedelus classes) and the Battlestars?

I hate when the thread goes so fast I give up reading all the replies between the last time I posted..

I'd be having a better long weekend if the weather up here would cooperate. I suppose I'll take what i can get

Well, I meant more along the lines of general layout. Long main body with the engines in the back (well, back of the main body, as opposed to on wings), and hanger bays in pods on the sides.

I don't watch BSG, but I always thought the Atlantis cruisers looked like Super Star Destroyers.

I hate the revamp, Han Solo doesn't need to be portrayed as a man of honor. That was why he got to redeem himself when he and Leia fell in love. He found a cause worth living for/dieing for. To take out what was a wonderful mark of his character and prowess is to make a mockery of the smuggler and former Imperial he was.

I jsut found out too. Stingray babr throught he chest. What a way to go. Funny I've swam with stingray half a dozen times and touched dozens of them, always peacefull creatures. But then again these were used to gettign fed too. Grand Cayman has a huge sting ray tourism industry.
