had to reply

I saw this post and had to reply! I'm a big nerd at heart. you could never tell through my boyish charm that I'm a nerd until you get me into talking about computers and world of warcraft ;) btw, wow is my current game of choice.

Nerds are the most horny and exhilerating in my opinion. Playing mmorpgs has allowed me to be more expressive and open my mind sexually.

Females tend to take me for face value to turn them on,however I had one female friend from an mmo that gave me the hottest cybor and phone sex ever, she wasn't half bad looking either ;)

I wouldn't mind finding a female nerdy playmate to share some fantasies with again...not all nerds are poor to look at and fantasize about ;)

Hello fellow Nerd and WoW player :)

IQ isn't quantifiable

IQ, do people really rely on that? I had mine taken once for a gifted program, lets just say it was high enough -I'd never quote it for anything. I mean...I remember taking my first SAT and scoring like 1100 then taking it again and getting 1300. I hadn't learned much in between, just that the second test had more questions that I knew.

Am I missing something here?

Ah, the old standardized testing system...
Just take it as an intelligence estimator.
I mean, I scored a 1280 on my SATs, but I know plenty of people who scored lower, but are WAY more intelligent than myself.
Also, these sorts of tests don't tend to analyze your problem solving skills, so can they really be called intelligence tests?

Do you think nerdlyness is genetic? I come from a family where neither parent went to college. Not that college is an indication of much. I think its all about early childhood (before age of 5). Atleast thats what it was with me, I was instilled with a desire to learn and the competitiveness drove me to be better at school than everyone else.

So that being the case, how do you pick partners to breed brains?

hmmm isn't it better to pick a person who is a match for you in all aspects, just not brains.
But if I was going to breed for brains..... who would I choose?

Thats a question for everyone: if you had to pick someone to bang just based on their brains.. who would it be and why? ( and you can pick me **wink wink** just kidding!

welp i didnt go back to WoW.

i found my addiction breaker.....14 hour science days. mmmm. gotta love FACS and giving journal club.

its been a long day. i demand amusement!

I can't even think of any females known for thier brains. I mean I know theres female scientists, but I can't think of anyone famous.

I once thought the character played my Amy Proctor (spelling?) on CSI Miami was hot and smart, then I saw an interview of her and she seemed quite...well blonde.

Oh, there's bunchs.

Let's see, for mathematics, we've got Theano, the wife of Pythagaros. If memory serves, she invented golden geometry, which allowed Pascal to do his triangle, and Fibanocci to derive his happy little series.

For you ladies, Trotula of Salerno. She pretty much pioneered gynocology, and the books she wrote were used for a few hundred years. Which begets the question; where is Salerno? She lived around 1,000 AD, I think.

Emilie de Breteuil translated the works of Newton, Liebnez, and Aristotle from their native languages to French. All the while she spent translating, she added her own foot notes and thoughts on each paper. Not only did she translate, she understood. Also noteworthy, she banged Voltaire. Good deal.

Laura Bassi was an italian physicist who studied electricity, and upon her work Volta derived his equations and research.

With her brother, Caroline Herschel discovered the planet Uranus, much to the unbridled joy of middleschoolers everywhere.

You gotta dig a bit, but there are plenty of noteworthy female scientists in history.
