questions to the females of the nerd thread facial hair or no facial hair on a guy. some guy friends convinced me to shave my beard into a goatee (since i havent shaved in a few weeks) and i did, but i had gotten alot of negative feedback from girls i know so since i didnt really care for it either i shaved it off. But i was wondering what the general opinion is on this subject

I'm so ANTI-facial hair. Occasionally, I can stand a small goatee, but that's it. It's rare that I see anyone that facial hair improves how they look, with the exception of the one guy Steve I knew in College. He had a very weak chin tho.

I'm not anti-facial hair but I think it really depends on the person and their ability to grow facial hair 
Some can look good and some can't - the weak chin factor like Vess said is also a very valid point, facial structure can play a key role.
Of course, besides just whether it looks good or not, is the how does it feel against someone else's skin - which is also a personal preference. Stubble pretty much sucks unless you have some strangely soft facial fair or the person just enjoys that rough feel.
I would say generally I prefer no facial hair but there have been plenty of exceptions - Mike Rowe for one - oh yum.
