Guns don't kill people...it's just that certain sound it makes.

<3 the Eddie Izzard reference.

Recently I played Capture the Flag with Stuff, a very fun game indeed, and a friend of mine pointed out that one of these days, we should try playing Capture the Stuff with Flags.

I claim India for Brittian *displays flag* And I'm backing it up with this gun lent by the National Rifle Association.

Nope. I like Wawa French Vanilla Cappucino, Vanilla Chai Tea, and Hot Chocolate. That's the closest I get.

The coffee that is cold is terrible. I take mine hot.

India :"You can't claim us! We live here!"

Britian: "Do you have a flag?"

India: "No"

Britain: "Nah Anh. No flag. No country. Those are the rules I have just made up!"

Eddie Izzard!

I adore him!

"Oh, I'm … oh … oh."
"What is it, Lieutenant Sebastian?"
"It's just the rebels, sir. They're here."
"My God, man! Do they want tea?"
"No, I think they're after something more than that, sir. I don't know what it is, but they've brought a flag."
"Damn! That's dashed cunning of them!

Not Eddie! Why is it that all women seem to love this hideous fellow?
Strangely enough, I spent a good fifteen minutes last weekend discussing him with some bar-mates.

I suppose my dislike is the combination of a dislike of London and drag shows.

Good time to announce this. I will be going away as well. The date has completely snuck up on me.

I'll be going home for the holiday (American Thanksgiving for my friends in other countries) Trying to sneak a lap top but not sure how successful I will be with that. Since my family is in a small northern farming community that's about all the computer connection I have a chance of getting.

Aside from AIM possibly on my cell. PM me if you want that.

So I'll be gone from Friday 17th through Sunday the 26th.

Gonna be hard not seeing you guys on a near daily basis though.

It's very similar to root beer, but BETTER. Less bitter, different taste. I grew up on it.
That's one of the ones they sell in Newfoundland :) I had it.. I prefer root beer. But not just any root beer.. A&W is the best :) "Dad's" is okay, but A&W.. mmmm

Hey Spins... if you come back around..... Do you actually know anything about Roman History or are you just using Cicero as a random quote? Cause if you know stuff I's like to ask your opinion on something :nana:

I know a bit of Roman history, but it's not really my area of expertise (if I have one anyhoo).

What's up?

I'm writing a book report on the death of Publius Clodius and Annius Milo's subsequent trial... do you think he did it? and if he did was it justified?

I don't have any startling insight into that bit of Roman history.

Unless you are required to pick a side and argue it i'd focus on the political atmosphere around the trail and look at whether a 'fair" trail was even possible.

Guilt or innocence in ancient history is about as easy to determine as finding a girl on Lit

I really just need to support the novel with ancient sources.... I was more looking to amuse myself and not do the actual work. And Cicero being in your sig was mocking me.

Girls are easy to find... you just gotta be sneaky

I'm not sure what ancient source there might be to help validate the novel unless there is a historical work written soon after that mentions the trail.

Roman history is muddled and i'm not even sure taking a roman historians account could really be seen as support material considering most was written to further political aims.

You'd just have to look at the source and make that determination yourself.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

If you need Brit Empire or American history help look me up

I believe this will be my first and last history course.... I'll stick to archaeology where I get to interpret history my own way.
I know what you mean about the political bias, the main source assigned to us was Cicero's defense speech for Milo, who was his good friend. It's not exactly impartial
