Hell, I was in a campaign that ran from 3rd to 17th level.
Often times, a decent encounter would leave us with a 50% or better casualty rate.
My DM prefered to challenge our minds than our characters hit points.. He would push us into encounters that forced us to roleplay well.. He was a godly DM. Of course, some characters still died from time to time, but he'd let us make new ones and join back in.

Squirter, you're a riot :) It's a pleasure to meet ya :)

I could never memorize one of those books. I've got too much Transformers knowledge up there. Now if we had a Transformers RPG then yeah, I'd have an unfair advantage. But alas, there is not, at least not one that I know of. Please let me know if there is. >.<
Make one? Use the ever so popular d20 system.

Pirate day has drained me of all my remaining energy.

You guys play nice with the Empress. She isn't here for your amusement. :)

Night all.

Goodnight Spins, your humor will be missed.

Love great DMs...luckily I lost my D&D cherry to a similar DM, which is why I'm so hooked on it.

Anyway, real life calls.

:D There's a wonderful young woman in my bed, and she needs some attention.

I call her Lady Sleep, and if I don't take her hard and fast, while she's in a good mood, she'll be cranky all week.

Later, brothers and sisters.
Sleep well, and one last Yar for the road.

Anyone else REALLY wanna game now? I know I do...sucks to be home alone...
Yeah, I haven't played a serious game of D&D since high school.. our group all moved to different parts of the country, and I've not been able to find people I can play with since.. found a bunch of idiots who don't know how to roleplay and I didn't have the patience to teach them.. besides, I'm not as good of a DM as I am a player.. I much prefer playing. I don't mind helping the DM out with ideas.. but I prefer the mystery, when DMing you have to provide the guidance, the subtle nudges in the right direction.. completely takes the mystery away.

Man.. I've not gamed in like 7 years!!! holy crap time flies.

I've got a decent game going on, but not often enough due to RL.

Time to start planning a Lit. Nerds Retreat to all get together and be nerdy?

Well, we could always play a game in the roleplaying forums.. it'd take a lot longer, but it could be fun.

True...may also work over an IM system.

Honor code for die rolls?

I love that AOL, for all it's crappy platform design, has an auto roller for dice.

Night cleric and spins.

I haven't gamed in years either, and never a full game. I joined in late, and then we just kind of stopped playing.

Dice other than D6?

I coded a roller in Java that supports D4-D20...now if I add networking capabilities...

Heh heh heh, Grimlock's about to kick the tar out of Megatron...

...

Oh, there he goes! :D

Well, a popular way I've seen of online gaming is through mIRC.. It has die roller script you can make, so that the rolls are public, and no honour code needed.
