Any other nerds out there wanna have a Skype voice session? The nerdier the better.

Oh, yeah. I forgot about that show. Clearly I'm not a big fan, sorry.

Luckily there are infinite possibilities for combinations of nerdiness. You know one of mine, what is one of yours?

A discussion point for next time, ;). And all is forgiven, :D

I just noticed that you're into saltwater aquariums. Being a tropical freshwater aquarist myself, I'm afraid this isn't gonna work out. ;)

True, there are quite a few differences, but it also allows for a deeper appreciation and a wonderful opportunity to share your knowledge.

Say it does work out, the water may be only a little brackish perhaps.

I've always wanted one of these, anyway:

Puffers are pretty awesome, similiar to the http://www.animalcorner.co.uk/marine/fish/graphics/cowfish.jpg , if they get hurt or start to wig out, you could loose the whole system. The black and yellow colors pops beautifully.

It'd be a shame really, but a good husbandry for the tank, will payoff in the end. We could explore the mingling of the minds and see what outstanding creations take shape.

Letting the imagination fuel the reality. (until money gets in the way :(), but the imagination is superb.

How many tanks/inhabitants do you currently play Queen for?

:)

I maintain a single 10 gallon heated, filtered, planted (aquascaped), tank for a single male crowntail betta and a few snails and ghost shrimp.

I prefer bettas over smaller, faster shoals of something like danios simply because of their calming, unique personalities, and beautiful fins and tails. :) I did keep shoals of smaller fish for a while, but I always go back to bettas.

The King to your kingdom, see I knew it! You are playing Queen with him, lol. The personality of some fish are huge, my yellow goby mimics that of a dog. Follows me from one side of the tank to another. :)

I'm completely jealous of your current color schema within 1 tank. I don't think I'd come close to the number and vividness of their look.:cattail: I bow in homage to the Queen. It's been many years since I've had a betta. Just took my time and waded into the saltwater. :)

I think saltwater tanks are beautiful and gorgeous, but as an engineer I figure if I'm going to do something, I need to do it right. (Hence a single fish in a 10 gallon aquascaped tank!) Given the fish I'd want to maintain, I would need an enormous tank and of course I'd want to have live coral, and I just get overwhelmed thinking about it.

Props to those who have maintained a saltwater aquarium. :)

I love when someone I only sort of know turns out unexpectedly to be a huge nerd about some totally esoteric subject.

I got 99 problems but a sub-millisecond offset from stratum 2 ain't one.
