Nerd Hook Up Thread

I'm still not sure if I am a nerd or not. This thread confuses me. I like sports and TV but I also like to read and listen to vinyl records. I have fished plenty in my life but also like to cook and drink wine.

All mixed up like pasta primavera. Why'd you throw that chair at Geraldo Rivera?

I tried playing Elder Scrolls ages ago and I just couldn't get into it.....

Been quiet in here recently

Which one? Skyrimis more accessable than the previous titles. It can swallow months though.

Incidentally the last I heard it is possible to complete the main quest in under 2 hours 20...

The one I played was Oblivion. I just found the whole thing rather clunky and awkward. I like my battles to be more exciting

Yeah - a lot of people including myself found that. But if you can I'd still recommend Skyrim - if you can give it 2 hours you'll be hooked. ( unlike FFXIII for example which is generally held to get good after about 20 hours)

Ditto! Play Skyrim and don't rush the main storyline. I spent a few months on it and never touched the main line past a certain point. Here is the only thing Skyrim was missing to me- a better idea of building relationships. Sounds silly, I know. But it is one of the things I loved from Dragon Age Origins. The friendships/relationships built in that game could almost be real- the dialogue was well choosen and indepth. There isn't much to getting married in Skyrim- wear a necklace, get hit on- accept- meet at the temple- and poof-- you're married to a person who will run a shop, give ya money, and cook you a meal once a day.

Nowadays I get scared by games that take that long to play!

Although I did like Dragon Age, even though it was incredibly hard

Yeah - the main reason to have a relationship is to have someone lug Dragon Bones about the place for you :)

Nice pics - very purty

Mine too! Season 3 is not going so well though. Sadness. I cannot carry people who refuse to be sensible.

Ender's Game movie with Harrison Ford playing Colonel Graff and that kid that played Hugo in Hugo is playing Ender. Score!!!

it is with a mix of "hmmm" and "oh no" that I great the news of Han Solo being in Star Wars episode VII

What are the odds of this actually happening in the final product?

/setting up obvious Han Solo/Star Wars reference response
