Surfing and rock climbing would push you further out of the nerd category over here. The general idea being that most nerdy types are too involved with their games/PC/etc to even see "outside". But perhaps that's just an view point over here?

Things may have change here TBF, when I was younger I was called a nerd because they were looked down on. I've just realised that having a chair in the just the "right" position for my Hi-Fi (and calling it a Hi-Fi) probably push me back into nerd.

My sons and I also have retro nights with NES, megadrive PS1, PS2 and even on occasion my old Spectrum.
