Yea, when I was looking for a place I was considering one downtown but having to pay for parking on top of rent was just too much.

1. Yes, I'm stuck on how expensive it can be... But I may be in a low-rent city, so if I can get attached parking and a chic studio I am sold.
2. I have 2 apple products (iBook and iPod classic) but am not a huge Apple guy... HOWEVER, the new all-solid-state memory in the notebooks is freaking mouthwatering. I've been waiting for that to become the standard for a long time, much like wireless controllers and rechargeable handhelds.
3. OMGWTFBBQ I love your room.

I can understand that, it's pretty cheap around here to rent, but parking can get crazy in the city.
The only Apple product I have is my iPhone, so I'm mostly just watching for news on the new iOS and whatever new iPhone model info there is. Though I'm on the S track (3gS, 4S) so the phone I'll be buying won't be out til next year.

lol I told them it had to be done by August so I can get my condo in order before my marine gets here.

He is getting out for good in August so if things go well when he's here then he will be moving to Missouri. The plan is he'll be getting his own place and we will see how things go from there.
Just don't let him move into the Mario room, that's mine

My 20 year old son would kill for that Mario room.
Due to my job and the number of computers I own I generally get called a nerd, being good at quizes and logic puzzles doesn't help that impression I guess lol A couple of my female friends call me a boffin, which probably shows their age but I kind of like it. Hopefully being in various bands over the years balances out the nerd, but suspect hobbies like surfing and rock climbing push me back towards the nerd category again.

The idea behind the room is revamping it to be a pup friendly computer room. However, the flag idea was suggested by the female painting the room. She is big into rescue groups, dogs, and training. One day I was holding Abby and we were watching them work when she came up with the idea to integrate Abby into the room

Surfing and rock climbing would push you further out of the nerd category over here. The general idea being that most nerdy types are too involved with their games/PC/etc to even see "outside". But perhaps that's just an view point over here?

I don't think I could dedicate a whole room to a series though. I enjoy quite an array of games from zelda to mario to megaman to metroid to ghosts n goblins., etc etc etc. I just have my gamecube kiosk to look at lol

There are an array of games I enjoy as well, but Mario was the first. It is a series I will constantly check out and go back to. There are so many characters in it that are enjoyable and cute. It is an iconic series with a pretty standard pool of characters from the original game that show up even in today's Mario games.
But I also don't look at it as dedicating the room to a series, mostly because only the 1st game is being used and nothing from any other game in the series is being included. The room is dedicated to gaming/entertainment, this will not be a Mario ONLY room. The posters/pictures that will be hung on the walls are non-Mario, but are gaming relates.
An 8-bit wall mural is just a nod back to the first game I ever played and what inspired part of who I am now.
I have a dragon mural in my bedroom, but a variety of other decorations in the room. While I like overall color schemes or ideas I don't like theme rooms that required matching decor.
