Good Morning All!

So hard to get up when the warm, uber cute puppy in your bed wants to sleep in ><

Hey sexy nerds! I dig this thread, but haven't hung around much.. yet.

Anyway, big nerd here, coming to ask some advice. Thinking about picking up Fallout New Vegas. Anyone have opinions or anything of it?

I loved Fallout 3, 2, 1 and Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, so it seems like a slam dunk, but I wanted to know what y'all thought!

Cheers

From what my friends have told me it is a very fun game. Like the previous fallout it is a FPS with your DND RPG elements.

Personally ive never been a big fan of the fallout series. i usually like my role playing games and first person shooters separate.

Anyways, if you got the spare cash to get it then i would say go for it. Myself will be doing a midnight release of COD black ops. Which is where my money is going to be going toward.

Good evening my fellow geeks!! Hope everyone is doing well. Had an eye drs appt today and with those damn drops they put in my eyes I am just now seeing right. Never knew how much I missed typing. Or at least seeing what I am typing.

I guess I'm a little old (37) to be a "cool nerd" like the rest of you, but I'g glad to see the thread! Nerdy guy in Texas. I'm not a gamer (does that rule me out? lol) but I read a lot and am pretty damn nerdy..haha

hmm... movies...

I can't think of any off the top honestly...

I'm a nerd's nerd, not really a geek so much... well., computer geek but that becomes borderline nerd when you program for a living.

So...

I never did play Fallout 2 or Fallout 1, though I think they're both on Gog now. Fallout Tactics?... another I never got around to playing.

I haven't played New Vegas, but given your interests it does seem slam dunk-ish.

Oblivion was amazing.... and a horrendous time-sink one summer ><

I never quite got into Fallout 3, idk why... I guess I didn't put the initial push in like I did in Oblivion so I could get far enough to where I wasn't pissed about my measly character ><

Morrowind was amazing, except it was WAY too easy to break the enchantment system so you basically couldn't be killed.

Any dang ways, ya, programmer, CS/math researcher, and small time gaming geek, stuck in the 90s...
