Yeah anything that involves relaxing and not being at work is vacation for me ^_^

Ah yes the beatboxing flute is always a must. I am literally counting down the days until MAGFest so I can bask in the glory of video game music again.

And this is amazing (from the last MAGFest): http://youtu.be/FOt6EGgBnQs

I never played much Mega Man as a child so I don't remember the songs so well. I was more of a Mario, Street Fighter, and Final Fantasy player

That is brilliant! Thanks for sharing :)

Which is your favourite FF?

Oooooo that is a tough one... It's either 4 or 6. Both had an amazing impact on my as I was growing up. I played the crap out of 6 maxing out every character and making sure that everyone had all the spells even though all I ever used was Ultima. The story was amazing though, and that's what still keeps me coming back.

Very much the same for 4 as well. For me, FF4 had a more ethereal feel with the story and ESPECIALLY the music. The music in both games is great, but to me, FF4 wins in that category.

In the RPG category there are three games that are pretty much parallel for me: FF4, FF6, and Chrono Trigger. All some of the best games ever made in ANY genre.

Chrono Trigger is amazing. My memories of FF are a bit skewed because the only console I had as a child was a Gameboy so I played the GB versions of FF, I'm not sure where they direct ports or games specifically designed for the GB. There was 1, 2 and Final Fantasy Adventure (or Mystic Quest as it was strangely renamed in the west). After that I had no console till my PS1, so I jumped straight to VII. The one I played the most was VIII though, loved it - I remember being so hyped by the intro video which was released as a trailer

Ahhh yes. I think I was 16 or 17 when the FF8 videos started coming out. This was also when computer technology took off at an amazing rate. I ended up making a powerpoint presentation for a class comprised mostly of the random videos I could find for FF8 and the re-release of 6 was around that point as well.

I remember we almost died with fan glee when these videos hit the net:

16 or 17 huh. I was slightly older.....

Coincidentally I just started playing FFXIII-2 - but I'm not sure if these RPG games are just too big and epic for me now.

Meh, a lot of the games these days are focusing on the online gameplay. While that is a big draw for many gamers, I still want those games that tell a really good story.

I'm similar - I hate the mindless sheep that run out and by every iteration of Call Of Duty even though its the SAME GAME everytime.

The stories have become bigger and more complicated nowadays. My favourites recently are the Mass Effect saga, and the Uncharted games. Uncharted especially, those games are seriously good fun and tell a brilliant story.

I am now here & at work until the Breaking Dawn.

Sorry... The 'Gwilight' reference was just too easy:p

I was afraid of being the only nerd online. Expected concept, beint the holiday week it is, but still a lonely thought

Then I may have to spend the next 5 nights getting to know our British compatriots better:)

What is the topic of your exam?
I have already wasted a night away doing homework for a State Trooper, so this may be tolerable

It's in multiple topics. Marketing, economics, logistics, business law and organisation. 6 hours written.

Night, nerds :)
