I got my ass kicked in middle school so much that I was on a 1st name basis with the Principal & Vice Principal. Once a month, the office would sound like this:

"Hey, Keith. Hey, Greg.
"Did you get into ANOTHER fight?
"Nah... I missed the Assembly to pick up my Honor Roll because of getting suspended for fighting last week. I am just picking that up now."

I guess I assumed that stuff happened because you hear about it so much, but I never noticed it, really. Things probably wouldn't have ended well for somebody picking a fight with me.

Well that was lovely, got a friend request from a guy on Fet, no message just the request. I checked his profile and he's got on there that he went to prison for stat rape and likes little girls. New level of creepy reached.

In elementary school for one of our various show and tell activities I brought in one of my Mom's targets from the range. She was Army and had received the highest award they give for sharp shooting with a pistol. Never had anyone bother me after that

I remember when the teachers finally got smart enough to specify font size, a sad day indeed.

Hmmmm .... me too. (and ink wells to dip nibs into )

As a prof though, I want my students to use a reasonable sized font (so I can read it!), double line spacing (room for corrections) and a wide margin (for comments). Also, for me it's not the word or page count that matters but writing sensible content. Is that why they like my assignments so much do you think?
