Well, the regulars in Nerd Power seemed to have stopped posting, so new thread = new regulars. Except for me it seems, of course.

Yeah, they are... I've been getting them more frequently than I should in the past 2 years.. I'm finally seeing a specialist about it, because I found a doctor that listened. Appointment is on Tuesday. Yay, get to have my head scanned.

Calgary gets a weather phenomenon called Chinooks, it's a blast of warm air that comes off the mountains. It's cold here sometimes, but for the most part winters here are very mild. I've lived all over Canada, and this is the warmest place I've lived. I find it insanely funny how bundled up everyone is getting from a mild cold snap. (but I'm a freak of nature, according to my friends. The cold doesn't bother me overly much)

Oh, and Calgary isn't Northern, it's only a few hours from the US border.

Most of the times our winters are bearable, with temperatures ranging from -10 celsius to -30. Sometimes we'll dip to -40, but that's normally the lowest it goes in the winter.

Calgary's weather is... unusual. Edmonton is normally much colder, as Rhyst can attest, but so far this year Calgary is "winning".
