Interesting conversations always seem to happen when I'm away, darnit. The entire site wasn't loading for me for a while for no reason I could tell.

Couldn't answer that, been years since I've seen the series. I've stopped watching old series for a little while, since watching all of Farscape and all of Babylon 5 since I moved in here.

Indeed. Did you know that in comic price guides covers that feature prominent busty women are referred to as headlight covers? Fun fact.

If Chaos! were still around I would totally cosplay any of their characters, preferably Lady Death.

I did not know that, though I have a nice pile of comics from my younger days that have exactly that, lol. At that time couldn't have a strong female character that didn't have breasts to match the size of her attitude.

And I believe that is the entire philosophy behind Power Girl.

For anyone interested in a comedic/parody take on superheroes going further on in the book into more serious social commentary, I really enjoy this book http://www.amazon.com/Notebooks-Dr-Brain-Minister-Faust/dp/0345466373

It's a political critique and superhero satire all at once, written from the perspective of a superhero psychologist dealing with super personality disorders after they've locked all the supervillians on Asteroid Zed.

There's a character in it called "Power Grrrl" who's a parody of Power Girl and pop stars in a way, and that's what reminded me of this book when we talked about Power Girl.

True, but most comic artists where sex-starved geeks as teenagers. Geek love was not popular back in the day.
