Ok we are new to the boards and I have alot of questions and wants. I have been requested to do a few things and have to clue where to look.

So I am asking too find a possible penpal (other sub) to point the way on a few of them. I would feel unconfortable taking direction from another Dom for I already have one.

Because I am new to any board on this subject and have never talked openly about our Dom/Sub relationship ever. Give me time and I might....LOL

I am apauled that so many have just passed by and not atleast said Hi.

(Extends hand in greeting)

Welcome to the community. I am Sifer. I myself prefer to sub but I am actualy a switch wich gives me a bit different perspective all together. If I can be of any help please feel free to ask.

Thank you for the link to the Library that will be helpful. Now to take the time to read through A to Z...LOL

Sifer I might take you up on the offer. The farther we get into this lifestyle raise more questions. Just for myself I am trying to work out the emotional issues. Most the time they get so INTENSE it can cloud my mind for a day or so. In a positive way. It never stops amazing me the new feeling and surges I come across. SOmetimes it scares me, the feeling of so out of control.

But thank you least extending a hand...:D

the library is a great place to start - you can also search the threads for topics that interest you ...

I don't know what assistance we can be, but I know that there are people who will help if you have specific questions.

Hi Laurie,

wish you every success in your travels.

I feel like I'm playing monopoly and still waiting for a double to come up so that i can start my journey as well.

for sifer, since you seem to know both sides could you make the distinction between submissive and slave please

Slaves/submissives are BOTH submissive to their Master (or Mistress)/Dominant.

The difference lies in whether a slave is actually owned by Master or Mistress. Marking, collaring, piercing - whatever the method of claiming ownership, it is that act of ownership that proclaims a slave...a slave. Until that happens, a submissive is one who submits to the desires and authority of one who is Dominant.

I don't quite agree with you on that one - we own our pet, but he is not a slave. We haven't Collared him yet, but we do own him. And he is not a slave - we don't treat him as a slave (meaning that we don't act towards him how anyone that we have ever talked to before who does call their submissives "slave" acts towards theirs). He is a pet, owned in the same way that we own our cats and our other fuzzy, 4-footed pets.

We will have to agree to disagree on this then. I don't own my pet; I take care of her, but she is not a possession (like my car). If she were to be unhappy enough to leave (or run away), she is free to go.

IMO, a slave is owned - as a possession and does not have the freedom to leave at will. To me, it is the lack of free will that is what slavery is all about.

Our pets can always leave, but while they are here, they belong to us.

Acknowledged as what you desire to believe.

I know that I have learned a great deal from the Dom/me's who post here. A few of them have become good personal friends of mine and they have given me lots of good advice and guidance without either of us realizing it... just in casual conversations we have had.

In my opinion, Dom/me's are more expansive and accepting in their thinking, more so than many submissive women are with each other.

Figures cant get on for a couple of days and get way behind, Sorry.

Esclava definetly gives a good definition, as you can see there always seems to be someone who wont agree.

Slave in the modern world is more or less a symantic. There are real ones still but I doubt if you will find them on lit.

Hence its more what a sub wishes to be labled or what the master wants them to be called.

My AIM, PM and email are always open for other slaves to chat with me if they need an ear.
