I was bored last weekend and felt like making something, so I made a little oak box for keeping things in (see attachments). But now I think it'll look better with some image carved into the lid and that is what I need help with because I can't draw anything more advanced then a stick figure. :(

And since there are so many people here with excellent artistic skills I'm wondering if someone would like to help me by drawing an image I can use as a sketch. :)
Anything goes that not sexual (box will be in my bookshelf) but it would be nice if it was somehow BDSM orientated, perhaps incorporating the BDSM emblem. See the top image here

Any help will be appriciated.

The size off the box is 23.5cm (9,25") x 40cm (15.75") and 14cm (5.5") in hight if you like to know.

Thank you :)
I hated woodworking in school but now I enjoy it from time to time. It's fun to create things.
Need a new paddle?

Uhmmm....

no... Master doesn't need a new paddle- though I'm sure he'd love to impress my own art into my backside. Yes, that would please him endlessly. *L*

Actually, I've gotten into whittling in exotic hardwoods in the past year. Mostly because it's SO fun saying words like Bubinga and Wenge... Also, I've discovered I have a passion for the wood. What does that say about me?

 You weren't talking to me. Sorry to jump the reply, NZ. My bad. (Master STILL doesn't need a new paddle though, and you're right- it's a lovely box!)

...Pics...

Simple, and they make for excellent stencil designs.

You're welcome to drop by the gallery (in my sig) and see if there's anything else to your liking- I only ask for pics of the finished work!

(I know you said non-sexual, and these kinda break that, but I've often been told that they're classical enough to not qualify as "smut"...)

I love them, but will have to think about if it's worth some strange questions from my parents ;). I'm going to check out your gallery as well.

Lol, thank you. Perhaps we should ask you master about the paddle

Please do!

And there's a lot more that's vanilla than not. There's some slight differences in content from gallery to gallery- sorry to be overlappingly redundant, but it's all forever under construction- new designs, phasing old ones out, etc....

Just drop me a pm if you find something you want to use. I can send you a higher res image, and with no watermarks.

who doesnt need a new one? :)

you can take that picture from the site you posted and crop it then enlarge it and use it as a template to draw/carve it into the wood. i would do all but the carving but im still looking for programs in this freakin computer.

Perhaps I should start a paddle shop :D

Have thought about it but looking for other ideas as well. Might combine a few pictures in the end.

For a time...

I was fascinated with the idea of bruising as temporary body-mod. Got the idea from a plastic back-brush that was imprinted on one side with these sharp-lined flowers. Got me wondering what kind of mark it'd make. (And of course there're all those brutal wooden "SLUT" paddles, with the letters cut out large all the way through...)

But I do wonder if slightly more complex images could be imprinted, if they were carved into the wood in the right way...

~eyes her whittling tools, then shakes her head and rubs her backside~

Might not be worth the pain of inventing that.

Not sure about having a complex picture cut through, might not hold up when using the paddle. But I'm already thinking about putting your first picture on a paddle, but with the white part being thicker if you know what I mean.

Made a quick sketch. If I use it I'm pretty sure it will be interesting to see the reaction off some off my friends :D

i like that. can ya make me one?

No problem, but I'm afraid it would cost a bit. Took the whole weekend to make make the first one (perhaps 20h or so) and oak isn't free. :(

And adding the shipping cost...

uhmmmm 20 h?

Something like that, but then I tested a few different designs. Should be quicker to make a copy but don't know how much time it will take to carve the image and text
