I have to send some photos to family, and rather than put them into email which will take forever to download, I was thinking about putting them onto an external storage site and just sending the link to everyone.
Having never used a storage site, I want to know what sites are recommended by you tech-savvy folks here :)
Most of the pix were taken using a 12 or 14 megapixel camera, so they are quite large, and there are about 200.
Which free storage site have you used, and were/are you happy with it? Can it be set to private or invitation only, and if so, how does that work? Do I have to send a password or something?

Find a free pic resize program, set them to 800 pixels wide. Use yousendit.com. Hopefully no pics come out dark. You racist piece of shit.

If you dislike me so much, why even bother to reply?
I don't get that at all....

And, why do I need to resize? Isn't that the point of using external storage? That you don't have to?

Because I'm a tech geek. Not everyone (or anyone) wants to download a 5mb pic of trash burning in your front yard. Most sites have size limits unless you want to pay.

Lol - it's not trash burning!
They are pictures of all the family, including kids and grandkid. I want to send them to my cousins in Austria.

And if you really couldn't help, apart from hurling abuse, then shut the fuck up, ok?!

You could buy a cheap little 4GB memory card and mail them. They're only five or ten bucks, depending on the speed card you buy. Since you said photos not video, you don't need a fast card.

I would need 19!
Which is why I think it might be easier to find a host site.

Images hosted on the web will take time to download if they're large, however you do it. Dropbox is an excellent way to share large files. You get 3GB for free to start, but you can get lots more by referring friends. You have complete control over who sees your stuff.
