Ok I have seen this group featured before on a couple of shows and I have seen them in comercials too.

They are all classicaly trained string players, I think they were alll at Juliard, who are women and play electric Violin, Viola and Chello/Base.

I cannot for the life of me remember the name of their group and I can't remember enough about them to find them using google either. :(

HELP.

I called my hubby, cuz I think he actually answered this before.

They're called Bond. They have 2 CD's out. They're actually comprised of 2 violins, a viola and a cello.

Ahha i thought it was a trio not a quartet. That would explain why I could not find them anywhere.

Thanks mucho.

All I can think of is 'Rachel's" but thats not who you are thinking of. You might try looking at allmusicguide in string categories and hope that through all their cross references soemthing jiggles your memory.

You're welcome, sugah.

Sometimes being married to the classical guy (that's what he does for a living, btw lol) pays off. ;)

Cool. I saw them perform several years ago. Very neat. And I'd practically forgotten all about them - thanks for reminding me.

That's them.

Great group, good sounds, and a heck of a serious classical music backing, though they play in the "pop" style of someone like Vanessa Mae.

They caused a heck of a ruckus in the UK with their debut album. It stayed at #1 on the classical charts for a good long time until the music snobs had them reclassified as pure pop instead of classical.

Apparently the groups pop sensibilities and overt sexuality clashed with what the classical music establishment there thought should be an appropriate representation of the music and culture.
