The particular story I have drafted is a romance/erotic coupling between one college aged man and one woman. It was an initial lovemaking to a year-long romance and life-long friendship. I'll include the first paragraphs as an example.

I am new to this forum although I have been reading for weeks. I find I am most attracted to the Loving Wives and Group Sex categories and mostly straight sex over gay. Within those genres the unexpected turn of events, sex where it is not expected between the participants, excites me the most.

I am a lawyer by trade, so I'm used to writing but my style may be pretty pedantic. I gather the best way to communicate is by PM through this board. Once someone agrees to read my draft I would send him/her the full text. Any help I can get will be appreciated.

The word count for this story according to MS Word is 2,965. Here it goes:

The Beginning of a Beautiful Friendship—My First Night with Jane

My real first time intercourse is nothing to write about--quick and unsatisfying for both of us and my girlfriend cut me off as of the next day. Can't really blame her.

My most erotic early encounter was this one with my third lover:

At the end of my sophomore year in college in New England, my brother, two years older, was set to be married at the college chapel. I obtained permission from the college to stay in the dorms five days after they were officially closed. Just about everyone else left several days before that, as they finished their final exams for the term.

One of my roommates, Matt, broke up with his girlfriend Jane before exams started, but they were still on fairly good terms. She was planning to tour Europe that summer but needed a place to stay between the time the dorms closed and her flight left. Matt told Jane that she could stay in his room (we had a three bedroom suite with a living room between the bedrooms), since the room would be open with my extension. In addition to the convenient place to stay, she liked the idea of having a guy in the suite for security, with the campus emptying of students rapidly.

To be continued . . .

You write quite well. I'd be willing to edit, but I also edit for many more, but not at the moment.

PM me if you still need an editor.

Thank you, but I connected with someone in the August link above and I will give her first crack. I have some time off work next week though, and I may be able to polish a couple of of sketched out stories I have already.

I am sending you a PM on these story ideas. It occurs to me that some other aspiring writer might take off with them before I have them completed. Let me know if you're interested in either of them.

What a great resource this voluntary editor program is. I'm not sure what you guys get out of it but I'm glad you're doing it.

Does anyone have a suggestion for minimum length of these short stories?
