From the cropping I had to do, it looks like your image processing program resizes the image and the "canvas" separately. Check out IrFanview. I think yuou'll find it does most of what the program you've got does in a lot less memory and a lot less confusion.

Ok...asking for help again. I can get it down to 150 pixels, but not a low enough KB level to use.

The trick is to set your JpeG "quality" (compression factor) to medium -- see the help menu of your image processing program for details.

I use Paint Shop Pro from ww.jasc.com It's around $125 for a registered copy but it can be found in stores like CompUSA or OfficeMax for around $99 on CD.

If you'r elooking for a free program that does a decent job of resizing and converting from one format to another, then check out www.irfanview.com

Hi Harold,
Thanks for the info. I shall look into it. ;)

By the way, it's a very nice thing you're doing for other people:rose:

Wow, the pic I wanted is too big to post, even here.. Not sure how that is possible.. but I will try another..

Hope the offer is still out there..

Hope this works......thanks

Hope this works, as well.

I wasn't sure if you wanted the white border in, by the way. I just got rid of it, assuming there was no special reason for it being there.

Very cool. Thanks a lot. The border was just part of the photo which was scanned into my computer. Thanks again:)

A mere 100 posts and you also can use an AV. There are even people in here to help you find one or customize anything you already have. A very fun place.

Helpppppp!!!!

Can someone enlarge and sharpen this so it will look good as an av?

Please!

hey girl!! I am soooo glad there is someone on here willing to help out with the troubles of AV's!!!
I have a question....you may have the answer posted somewhere on this thread....but i only have a few munutes right now, unfortuantely, and can't read through each post. I know how to resize my AV's....but they are still too big b/c they supposedly have too many bytes. I can get the dimensions down to 150 x 150 like is required....but i cannot get the bytes under the allowed 20,000. I have a whole lot of AV's I'd like to use and can't b/c of this problem!! It would be greatly appreciated if you coulld let me know how to fix this problem!!

Thanks so much!!!
