I use a free program irfanView - you can change the properties to pictures.

You can give it a try, download from irfanView.com

Under 'options' you can change the extension to a jpg. If you still have trouble attach the picture here and I'll be happy to do it for you....... as will others I'm sure.

What kind of computer do you have? IrfanView is a PC/Windows only program.

What program do you have for editing/resizing images?

Usethe attach file function -- the browse button just above the submit replay button.

Down at the bottom of this 'reply to topic' page you will see on the left hand side 'attach file'. Click browse and when you have the picture from your file, click it. It will attach to your post.

I have compaq, with msn internet and windows xp.

I have compaq, MSN internet with DSL and windows xp.

IrfanView should run on your system. You do need to install it from a user login that has Administrative priveleges, though. You may also have to temporarily turn off your virus/malware protection for it to properly install.

However, that doesn't answer the question about what image editing software you have. Do you have Adobe Photoshop, PaintShop Pro, MS Photo Editor (part of the MS Office suite), or some program bundled with a scanner or camera?

I have all of those, I got irfanveiw to work now, my hubby had to turn off spyware.

You need 100 posts before the custom avatar in your UserCP is enabled.

one more time, if you know any of these are being used already let me know,

I haven't seen any of those used, although "calvin and hobbes" is a popular source for avatars.

You do need to save them as JPeg or GIF format to use them as avatars. Also, they're all 33% smaller than they need to be for Literotica -- the limits are 150 pixels x150 pixels x20480bytes and the closer you can get to those limits, the better your avatar looks.

Redownload IrFanview, run a antivirus scan on IrFanview before opening it to run, if it is free of a virus run it to go to the default settings, it is easier to use for simple resizing then Photoshop.

To use an AV you need 100 posts, then through 'edit avatar' you can upload one to use. They ask that you do not post copywritten material.
