OK, I see the Spurs by 7 points in the first game.

LeBron James is very good, but Tim Duncan is also very good and bigger.

Comments?

I like the Cavs, but only if at least two of the other players bring it. They're not as good as the Spurs, so their margin for error is smaller.

The line is 7 1/2, so I'd say that's a pretty good call. Strange things can happen in the finals (just ask any Mavs fan) but the trophy is the Spurs' for the taking, 4-2, including an opening sweep in SA.

Rumple Foreskin

The Cavs will need big games from several of their front line players and some help from off the bench if they are to win the championship.

Almost anything can happen in a seven game series, but the Spurs have the advantage in the player matchups and they also have the first two games at home. If the Spurs take a 2-0 edge, they will be damn tough to beat.

Among the more sports-savvy where I work, the consensus is that the Spurs will take it in six games.

But we're biased ;)

I would tend to agree with Spurs in six. However, if one of the Cavs gets really hot over a few games, it could turn things around in a hurry.

Yeah, they do have a tendency to improve from game to game. But that's what will make this series interesting.

Spurs will probably do it (again), but wouldn't you like to see Lebron get some? Start a dynasty.

Nah. :p

Can't wait to see yet another ring on Tim's finger next time he comes in for his takeout ;)

I want the Cavs to win so bad. I've always disliked the Spurs, and the Jazz for that reason. I struggled with who to root for in the Western conference finals because I hate the Spurs, but I also dislike the Jazz, and had sour feelings for them since they beat the Warriors. In the end I decided not to care and rooted for the Eastern Conference for the first time in my life. Fortunately, the team I wanted to win won, and King James leads his Cavs into uncharted territory.

As much as it kills me to say this, I can't see the Cavs winning this series. :( However, I will root for them the entire way because I DO NOT want the Spurs to win.

No? I can understand the local connection, but think broader. Lebron James, a man among middle schoolers in the day. He is to the Cavs what Michael something was to, shit, I forget. Anyway, let go of your Texas pride and bet on the the greater good. ;)

Um . . . it's not Texas pride. Just faith in the better team ;)

I'm not a 'Texan.' I just live here.

Well, we're down by three at the moment, but I'm not worried. It would be boring if we clobbered them right off the bat.

I'm sure it'll be a close game ;)

Ha! I thought everybody who lived in Texas got sucked in.

Nope. It's been hard to resist, but I still don't say y'all conversationally, and you won't find any cowboy boots in my closet.

I just love the Spurs. The underdogs that could . . . and did . . . four times now ;)

15 point lead at the end of the third quarter. The Spurs have a better shooting percentage and more rebounds. Lebron James is shooting 2 for 12.

Yeah, he's not having a good night.

I don't doubt he'll come out in successive games, though. Tim and Manu will have to deal with him.

Up by 18, now ;)
