NaNoWriMo

I've been vaguely anticipating NaNo for...well, since December 1st, I think.

NaNo 2005 spawned Hurt, the novel I just finished posting here a week or two ago, and NaNo 2006 spawned After, which I'm frantically rewriting and posting as I go.

No idea what I'm going to come up with for this year's. I keep promising myself I'm going to write something not revolving around sex, but seriously, what are the odds I'll pull that off?

But I thrive on the pressure and the immersion. And now that I know I am actually capable of finishing things I start, my motivation is that much greater.

The piece I wrote last year for NaNo was completely non-erotic. I really have no idea what I will do this year.

Pieces of last year's Nano were used in Montana Summer....

For some reason November seems to be completely fucked up for scheduling anything this detailed. I tried for two years and got sidetracked by other responsibilities then didn't even bother for the next two years. I'll know by November 1 (or 2 or 3) whether I can even consider this.

This is so tempting, but November is the start of all the crazy writing process stuff at work, meaning huge piles of student writing to read. I'll be lucky to get any writing done that time of year.

I really want to do NaNo again, I've just sent off last years NaNo (I didn't do 50k last year, just about 35k is all I managed so I guess it's a novella) and a while ago I sent away 2005's NaNo to a different publisher, I've still got my very first NaNo but as it's a simple romasnce I'd need to do some digging around tosee who to send it too.

Anyway, I hope to participate, it's always a great motivator and as you see, i do get rond to using my NaNo stories eventually *L* I have a few ideas at the moment it's a Non-erotic one that I fanvcy doing, that might change though, depending on what new ideas I pick up between now and November :D

I'm really quite excited about doing it again. I seemed to have forgotten how grueling the last week was last year...this will be my second time...

Yeah, you do forget all the bad bits and just remember the rush of getting something done. :D

JL - set yourself a realistic goal, if you can't do 50k aim for a bit less, then if you hit that target you've done all you wanted to acheive and if you go past it, that'd be brilliant! :)

Might have another crack. Last years is 3/4's through editing, have an idea for this year but it all depends upon time.

Hey Cowboy! Long time...

Don't know if I'll be in or not this year. I'll be working full time and going to my last semester of school full time. Will be graduating the end of December if all goes well (happy Yule to me!), so may have to put it off and do it in January or something.

I have every intention of participating this year. We'll see what life holds for me as far as time goes. I'm working on a novel at the moment, that I probably should have waited to do until then, but I just couldn't. :D

I came damn close last year. We'll see if my muse has decided to put in an appearance once November is a little closer.

I don't know. Maybe I will. Can I write "Fuck you!" 25000 times and call it a story?

My well of ideas is totally dry these days.

I have a couple of ideas but I really want to finish what I started last year. I lost it when my laptop was stolen so I'd have to start from scratch. The only thing is will it be as good the second time or a total mess as the first version and the second fight in my mind...

November is still a ways away....
