Well, apparently, Nancy Lanza taught her son to shoot. She was a gun nu- . . . enthusiast, very proud of her collection/arsenal. Of which Adam finally made some practical use, if we assume "practical" does not necessarily equate to "desirable." Using those weapons to do what they were made for, anyway.

The fact that she was a gun enthusiast is irrelevant.

The fact that she showed poor judgement in exposing her disturbed son - and giving him access to - her weapons is very relevant.

Every responsible American parent should teach their kids to shoot their guns efficiently.

Great...

...the hysterical, unable to pinpoint any practical solution to a psycho who freely chooses to commit multiple murders, and not courageous enough to stand-up and champion repealing what they honestly despise - the 2nd Amendment - now focus their emotionalism in blaming the mother, a victim of the murderer herself.

Although...

...reading of both your aversions to personal responsibility is not a surprise at all.

Holy Oedipussy!

Retard taught to shoot by his gun-obsessed mother.

Retard then kills mother with one of her many guns.

Beautiful!

They did for generations, only it was backed up with responsible male discipline.

Except in those families in which the responsible male disappeared, leaving only responsible female discipline to be relied upon.

Or in those families in which unchaste high school girls got scurried away to places unknown to bear their bastard children.

What he said. I'm a gun toting tree hugger. I taught my son to shoot. He's now a police officer. By your logic, because I'm a gun owner who taught him to shoot he should have gone wildman and killed me as well as a bunch of others. Funny how that doesn't equate.

Every responsible American parent should teach their kids to shoot their guns efficiently.

Actually they should. Every child, every person, should know how to handle a firearm. To own or carry one is another matter entirely.

Fucking h christ, when are you going to get off that tired tripe???You have no facts, no research to back it up, but you insist on spouting the same lame, tired, ridiculous opinion. As the old saying goes, opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. But some stink a lot worse then others. And this one is in the category of olfactory assault.

Because the first person he killed was the person who taught him.

So? He could just as easily have gone after her with a knife or an axe if he had mommy-issues.

What she said. Ask Lizzy's parents. Or perhaps you think her father or mother taught her to use a hatchet and shouldn't have?

Comshaw

Every gun owner should have to have an insurance policy attached to the requirement of owning the weapon. Just like having a car. Will it stop people from doing the wrong thing? Nope...but there is at least a way to pay for the mental health care that the devastation of abuse leaves behind. And the cost of that is not assigned to the taxpayers...but to those that choose to own the weapon. It is just the responsibility attached to having a weapon.

Not quite up-to-speed on who exactly pays an insurance claim, huh?

To reiterate, his MOTHER taught him how to SHOOT. He then used those skills to SHOOT little kids and adults.

Had she taught him how to use a machete, the outcome in Newtown might have been very different.

Not quite sure who is presently paying for the health care the survivors are getting are you? Sorry the conversation went over your head.

And I repeat, so fucking what?!
Who taught you to drive? Should that person be responsible if you knock over a pedestrian?

Who taught this guy to shoot is completely irrelevent.

It sure isn't the dead mother...

...you know, the "gun owner" you so foolishly asserted would be "assigned" those exact costs under your latest brainfart:

Every gun owner should have to have an insurance policy attached to the weapon...And the cost of that is not assigned to the taxpayers...but to those that choose to own the weapon.
