I don't really have that great of a reason other than i don't particularly like the name...it was just the first thing that popped in my head when I was registering.

I got my name changed twice. Others have had it done too. Though I don't think she wants to do it any more.

Changing your name does not make it easier to start over.
Some change their name for good reason.
Others because they think their rep at lit
will change with the name change. Or wipe their slate 'clean.'

I am who I yam, know me by my name.
Juspar is now I'mVan I still know he is Juspar.
SummerRose is now Summery, she is still who she was.
Just known by another name.
SYN is A_Jack's aka many more lol.

You are right, it isn't stupid, I am just tired and crabby The main reason I want to change it is because the name that I have now doesn't reflect who I am. Makes sense to me anyways. I will be sure to let you all know who I am should I decide to change my name. Maybe I will just leave it. Who the hell knows. Its way to late/early to ponder such things.

The only way to change your name is to have Laurel or Manu do it. They are increasingly rluctant to do so, because while it only takes about 30 seconds to change one username, when 30,000 or so people are members of the board, it has the potential to become a real nuisance.

CuteCpl, I think you should just start over, you are new enough that not so many people know you and wouldn't find it suspicious that you wanted to change. Pick a new name, reregister, and start with a post that says "Hi everyone, I was this before but I'm this now, sorry if that confuses anyone, I just wanted a name that would reflect who I was more" blah blah blah. What's the harm?

Laurel changed mine for me. It had taken me two years to get to 250 posts, so I asked if she could change it to this name, which reflects the name I use in chat.

It would probably be just as easy for you to register a new name, cause it hasn't taken you long to get your post count up to where it is now.

But, of course, it's totally up to you whether you ask her or not.

thanks for all the helpful information...now that i am fairly awake and thiking rationaly, i think that i am just going to keep the name, i really don't want to have to start all over...i do really appreciate everybody's input though!!
