Name That Voice

This grew out of Lou's "Voice (Writerly Thread)" thread. Here's the deal: Once monthly, someone will offer to play moderator for that month and choose a topic. I've volunteered to handle the first round.

Those who want to play will PM a 500-word (max) piece of prose on that topic to the moderator, who will post it ANONYMOUSLY on that month's thread. At the end of the month, the moderator will identify the authors.

It's a challenge to see if we can identify who wrote what -- if we truly have a recognizable "voice."

I'll start the first monthly thread naming the topic in a bit.
