I'm downloading some music. There's a song that I want, but I can't think of the name of it.

It's a song from the 80's (I think). The lyrics go.

Hey now, Hey now, don't dream it's over. Hey now, Hey now, when the world comes in, they build a wall between us.

Aside from helping me out with this, I thought this might rurn into a fun thread.

Thanks in advance.

Got a picture of your house,
And you're standing by the door
It's black & white and faded
And looking pretty worn...

Late 80's. Anyone? :p

Dude, New Found Glory covered Warrant? I don't know whether to be intrigued or horrified.

Misty: I had the same reaction, but then.....I'm from Cali, and we call everyone dude.

Methinks Cloudy is pretty good at this game.

On the day old Curtis died nobody came to pray.
Old Preacher said some words and they chunked him in the clay.
He lived a life time playing the black mans blues.
And on the day he lost his life, that's all he had to lose.

Too easy.

Ballad of Curtis Lowe (or is it Lowell)

I wanna do one....

I can't help about the shape I'm in
I can't sing, I ain't pretty
And my legs are thin
Don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to

Oh Well, and it's been done again and again and again - Fleetwood Mac, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, the Black Crowes, etc.

:D

It was the third of June, another sleepy, dusty Delta day
I was out choppin' cotton and my brother was balin' hay
And at dinner time we stopped and walked back to the house to eat
And Mama hollered out the back door "y'all remember to wipe your feet"

It's an oldy (from the late 60's, early 70's)

Edited: Damn you guys are fast!

Bobbie Gentry, but I guess Sheryl Crow covered it. That makes sense, I can almost hear her sing it.

*singing* the day that Billie Joe McCallister jumped off the Tallahatchie bridge.....god, I love that song...I can't remember who sang it either.

So the people of the valley sent a message up the hill
asking for the buried treasure, tons of gold for which they'd kill.
Came an answer from the kingdom: "With our brothers we will share
all the secrets of our mountain, all the riches buried there."

From my favorite all-time movie. I know this will be too easy for Cloudy. She's definitely a ringer. :catroar:
