Would someone please put me out of my misery and tell me the name of this angel statue if you know? I've been searching everywhere for the official title, but it escapes me. Pretty please?

Replaying old video games, are we?

Me too. If only I knew what it's called, damn it. *frustrated*

The husband swears it's from St. Louis Cemetery in NEw Orleans. He says that same statue was in Interview with the Vampire... he may actually be right, because I've seen that statue before. I just can't FIND it anywhere.

Wish I could help. Your current av reminds me a teensy bit of what is probably my favorite sculpture in the world. (I get no points for originality on this one; I am not a Christian, BTW.):

It was based on the Pieta, yes. Good eye. ;)

I'll try another search for St. Louis Cemetery angels, then. It would make sense if it was from there because of the New Orleans connection to the games. I'll see.

Can't find it, even after trying several word combinations in Google images. :(

While I tremble at the notion of sending any decent folk there, you might post this on GB - it's a lot bigger than this place (a fact perhaps outweighed by the fact that we are far more erudite. ;) )

NOOOOOOO!

A larger view of the box art.

I really hope that this search isn't in vain. If Firefly is right and the angel is from St. Louis Cemetery (1, 2 or 3  ) in New Orleans, then it most likely doesn't have a formal name like a normal sculpture would in a museum. I can't even find a picture of it. :(

I'll post the picture on the GB and see if I can find anyone who knows where it's from. They don't scare me.

Would you? Thank you so much. :D

I'm off to bed. If I stay any longer, I'm going to get a mouthful of keyboard. Night night. ;)

I just know this angel's going to follow me into sleep, saying "You can't find me" and blowing raspberries.

 No hits so far. :p I suppose titling in "Any intelligent and cultured people out there " was too tame. I should have tried "Tit fuck me HERE!" to sucker them in.

Update, suggested by Hurricane64 on the GB- try a Google Search using Lourdes France instead of New Orleans.

*perks up* Let's see.

No dice on Lourdes, I'm sorting through Rennes-le-Chateau images now.

*blurt* Rex Mundi is an UGLY demon.

I have no idea, it is one of those statues that could be almost anything -- it is quite possibly some statue from a cemetery. Nor do Google searches for any of the suggestions thus far come to anything. Nothing immediately jumps out at me, no particular idea (and it's hard to tell from the picture, it doesn't appear particularly detailed).

That wouldn't work at all.

Yes, unfortunately. :(
