I apparently don't know how to look properly, but how do I submit a letter to have my screen name altered?

Thank you very much.:)

PM or email Laurel and explain your request. I know she gets busy, but she should get back with you.

In the time I have been active at Lit, I have never gotten any kind of response from Laurel. I know that the suggestion should be a valid one, but from my experience, she could be a ficticious person or someone who only responds to a specific few individuals here.

I have had the same experience, except when I was having difficulty submitting an audio story. However, when I've asked to have something done, it was simply done and no email/PM followed.

So, perhaps when you email/PM Laurel, you might want to include the name you want it changed to. That would help the process on, I would think.

thus the reason "cliques" are brought up every day by a specific few individuls here.

Jeez, how lame to think that SHE only responds to certain people. If someone doesn't respond to you, least of all the owners of the site, it's no reason to state that they only respond to certain people.

BM, there're plenty of htreads started on teh GB about this, and posts in the thread you are mostly in, the Iso blurt thread.

And we just had a thread about this from kgboot, too. He had expressed concern about losing the number of posts he had, and that was why he didn't want to reregister.

There was a poster on the GB who asked this question about a week ago. I suggested she PM Laurel and let her know what she wanted the name to be changed to. I don't know if Laurel Pm'd her back or not, but her user name was changed yesterday.

It sometimes takes Laurel a couple of days to get to something, she gets lots and lots of PM's and e-mails every day.

It is easy just to change your name. just delete your literotica cookies on your browser and re-register.

Don't understand why it is important to keep the past number of posts. I guess it depends why you are changing your name.

Most people have a distinctive written voice so changing your name will not make a big difference if you are trying to hide from someone who knows you.

This may or may not be relevant, but some posters who want name changes rather than registering do so because stories they've written would still be under the old name. If I were to decide to use a different name, I would prefer a name change for this very reason.

I am confused. if you re-registered wouldn't your stories still be under the old name?

I have emailed Laurel and am just waiting to see if she is okay with it.

All I am doing is dropping the 99 from my name because I feel that it would have better flow that way.

An improvement, if you will.:)

I don't believe I have ever emailed about my own title/sign on name being changed. Typically is is question. One in particular involves my posted picture back when the amatuer feedback board was actually used for feedback about the posted amateur pix in that section of lit. (Link is below to mine.) When you view the picture, you are allowed to rate it (like many threads and stories). I have always wondered what my rating was--it is not really a world-stopping issue, but it is a question that I think deserves an answer. (Why allow a rating system if no one ever gets to see what the ratings are?)

I have been a regular at Lit for a while now and remember when Laurel was a regular post-er. I don't see her expressed thoughts here any more--not sure if it is because she does not post/participate now or if it is because I don't hang in the same areas.

There are some issues and questions that can only be attended to by the site's owner. If these (on various topics) are always ignored, well, what else can the questioner think except that s/he is being ignored? (Posting the question in a thread doesn't help. You often get suggestions, possibly theories, from other Litizens, but no real answers or solutions-as the case may be.)
