My wish for a HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL

I will apologize for this being so long, but my heart has alot to say.

I just wanted to wish everyone here a wonderful thanksgiving. I find this holiday season to be an especially difficult one with the recent passing of my father, and other life trials and tribulations. With my family, friends, the support and kindness of people here at LIT and my newfound love--real life not cyber--I will be able to find some joy and happiness this holdiay season.

Unfortunately I will not be having the traditional family thanksgiving as my mom has pneumonia and we will just be having "meals on wheels" this year. I will miss the closeness my family usually shares at holiday time as we all are around the table reflecting on all we are fortunate to have. But it does not diminish all that I am thankful for...even with grief still tender around my heart. I have a wonderful loving family, the best friendships, a man I have come to love and admire--and who treats me with such love and respect (I have never felt TRULY LOVED by any past b/f and I find I have definitely been missing out on alot) and I hope we have a long future together. I have a career I love, and I live in a country where I have the opportunities to do and become whatever I am willing to work for. I have my health (well, except the diabetes part), a wonderful warm home, A VERY VERY GOOD LIFE.

I am very thankful I came across this site as I have changed and transformed over the last 4 months...become more secure in who I am, explored in depth things I only thought about. LIT has given me the opportunity to do this. It is a nice place to come to and leave all the stresses of life behind if only for awhile. I have met some very wonderful, nice, caring people here--people that are supportive and encouraging to literal strangers.


HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Thanksgiving is a time of reflection.

This year, I am especially thankful for the freedom we enjoy in this great country.

Now, more than ever, it is a time to give thanks for all that we have, and for all the people who have touched our lives.

First let me just say that I wish you and your new found love only the best. He sounds like a pretty good guy and one that I'm glad to call my friend. You met him at a time in your life that you needed someone. Yes, someone in RL and not cyberworld. May your love and committment continue to grow. I'm pulling for the two of you. For those of you that may not know this very fine classy lady, let me tell you a few things about her. This woman is a complete giver. She takes care of her family and puts her own needs aside. She would give you the shirt off of her back, even if that shirt was the only shirt that she had. She gives so much and asks for so little. I'm so thankful to have befriended such a wonderful lady. She's also spoken well of me in the past. We have a mutual love and respect for one another. If you haven't got a chance to know this lady I suggest that you do. I dont know what I did to deserve such wonderful thoughts and words. You made it very easy to be friends with you. You've also been there for me through some strange life events and moods. You've definitely made me laugh at the times I needed to laugh most.

Thank you for the well wishes with my new relationship...it was a scary step for both of us as we are so afraid of inadvertently hurting each other or ourselves...but we are giving it a shot. He IS A GREAT GUY, and is always considerate of my feelings and thoughts and he really makes every day happier and more alive. And he was there without a second thought when I needed someone most, and I will eternally be greatful.

You too also have a blessed and loving thanksgiving....you are definitely on my list of people to be thankful for. You are a good and true friend who always looks out for me....I never felt more protected. I AM THANKFUL FOR OUR FRIENDSHIP. *Muah*

Dont be silly, NO ONE IS INTRUDING.

This is just my way of thanking the people at LIT who make it so welcoming and fun to post and get to know people. I feel very fortunate for all that I have in my life (not just material things). I have made some very dear friends here, and although I dont personally correspond with all the 1,000's of members--from reading through the posts, everyone's everyday happenings, loves, losses, good days, bad days--it kinda feels warm like a home. I am feeling especially melancholy and reflective this year and just wanted to let everyone know how much I am thankful to have found this special place to escape to. I am very appreciative of this site and the members who keep it going and who post here....I just wanted you all to know.

And to just remind everyone that on at the very least on this one day of thanks, we put all our troubles aside, all the worlds troubles aside and be appreciative of all the positive things/people in our lives (I am sure everyone can dig up a few) and have a day of happiness with those you love or help those who need some love. It very easy to take for granted all that we have--lets just remember to appreciate all the wonderful things life offers on this holiday season.

I will not repeat anything for I believe that she said it very well. I'll just add that I'm so thankful to have found lit and to have made the connections and friends that I have here. If I tried to name you all, I know I'd leave someone out. So I'll just say Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends here at lit. Yes, I do consider you all friends and a part of my family. I may not correspond with everyone, but I'm sure I've read most of your posts. Thank You for the laughs and good times! This is a Great Place with many wonderful people.
