Yeah, the fireplace is blocked, so I can't use it. I sure miss my old home in MN when I used to have working one, and it was MINE. The only good thing about renting is "hopefully" counting on the landlord to repair things.

My dog was barking at her own little video when I replayed it. Did your pups ears go up? Bark, bark, bark, bark. I her.

Plaster walls, decent moldings, you just need a door knob or two or even some doors and some carpet. I thought the fireplace was cool but took up too much space. Looks like a typical home you see up n Jersey or Philly. Reminds me of those areas.

Plaster walls, decent moldings, you just need a door knob or two or even some doors and some carpet. I thought the fireplace was cool but took up too much space. Looks like a typical home you see up n Jersey or Philly. Reminds me of those areas.

I loved it...3 floors plus basement....

i agree about the fireplace but would choose to either remove it or reface it and make it functional again.

From what i saw the walls were decent, grout on floors in tough shape so would need some work, but a majority of the main house is pretty cheap cosmetic. (Know nothing about the systems, outside or roof)

The kitchen needs a total gut from what I could see.

I have one counter top and hate it. It's where the sink is, and only holds my microwave, toaster, canisters, coffee maker, and the drainboard. Totally squashed.

The inspector brought it up and said there has to be more counter space because it can be unsanitary. Tenderizing bloody meat...splash, splash. Just one example.

I think you're taking this whole thing too seriously. It's fun and all and nobody loves seeing LT get his ass handed to him more than I but take it easy. It's just the internet.
That said, I like your house. I'm a fan of the pre-war interiors. They're narrow and oddly shaped but they have a style that's I've always enjoyed.

EE is right. It needs a total overhaul. Unfortunately that's just the way it is with kitchens. You simply can't keep the style and add more. They just weren't built that way and still aren't really. You have to start from scratch and that's expensive as all hell.
