My thumbs hurt.

An interesting tidbit. Here, in NC at least, the kindergarten checkup kids have to take before entering school includes a vision test. Naming objects is part of that. There's a horse, car, house, etc. One of the things is a telephone, yep, you guessed it. One of the old rotary dial phones. Both my kids balked a little at that image. How many children have phones like that as a frame of reference these days?

How about a record album? Or, God forbid, an 8-track tape?

My kids (27 - 19) know about albums, my grandkids have seen the stack (3ft+) in the closet. :D
I still listen to a few of them. :D

You don't know whether you have 27 or 19 kids? Seriously, dude. I could understand misplacing one or two, but eight just seems sloppy.

Quit complaining, DP. my oldest daughter is 49, and four others tag along behind, youngest at 24, (I think) and it is the Grandmonsters I have lost count of.

Such a deal...

But at least you know how many KIDS you have, right? You're pretty sure about the five?

Actually there are eight and most of them look like me and they still keep asking for things, so I guess they are mine...does it matter in the long run anyway?

I am beginning to think this forum is full of old farts and fartresses, wonder if the young whippersnappers will respond by posting avatars of raw penis's and twitching twats?

I do look at SPA now and then....closet confession...

Getting back to the computer games, you don't suppose that there is somewhere (black market, probably) a Wii sex game?

Ami . . . SPA?

Actually we might respond with...

"So hey DP, now that we know their ages, are they single?" :D

I spent several years living in a log home. Not the old fashioned kind, but one of the new-fangled ones; this was when I was unmarried and living with my parents. They went out of their way to find old looking things that actually worked. One of the funniest things was one of those old phone boxes, with the cone that you held to your ear. It was just a box, hiding the up to date phone inside, but the looks you'd get when someone asked to use the phone, and you pointed them to that were terrific!

Now one a them would be fun:devil:

Now to get back to the original idea. I don't know about sore thumbs from using them hand controls, but I have problems with my right thumb from an old injury in the army. I had a choice of falling out the back of a 2 1/2 ton cargo truck and meeting the one following or grabing whatever was available. I snagged one of the upright supports for the bench with my thumb and ended up with a dislocation instead of tire tracks from the truck behind us.

As a result, I now have cronic tendonitus in my wrist and thumb which is way better than a fatal case of the previously mentioned tire tracks.

Watching some of the Wii comercials I've seen though, I can forsee an increase in sports related injuries to people that didn't even leave the house.

Unintentional threadjack, I should never have mentioned my ancient Nintendo, but Civilization and Sim City are occasionally referenced and it is one of the few ways I can relate to the forum crowd.

Grins....

:kiss::rose: backatcha sweetsubs...

My thumbs always hurt when I play Need for Speed (Playstation) for extended periods of time.

Hm.

Around these parts, sore thumbs are usually cell phone/text messaging related.
