bored, lonely, can't sleep.... I really haven't tried that hard, tho. also putting a concert on vhs for a friend, so I have to wait until that's over at least.nowgirl said:i'm up way too late but can't sleep... i'll have to wander back to that thread too! how come you're up so late?

if this is way too late, what's your normal bedtime?
actually, this is very late for me, whether I'm working the next day or not. lol. I'm usually asleep by 11:30 if I have to work the next morning, or midnight to 1-ish if I don't.nowgirl said:depends when i have to work - i have a weird schedule... but usually midnight'ish. unfortunately - i have to work early tomorrow morning soooo maybe if i just close my eyes?? sighs.
is this NOT late for you?

and yes.... not that I really want you to go to bed, but closing your eyes might help.
kitchen flunkie (it's an industry term. lol) in a nursing home. how 'bout you?nowgirl said:laughs... can you push me away from Lit then too??? geez louise. what do you do for work?

a woman that hates shopping?!?! wow... call ripley's.nowgirl said:i manage a clothing store. but i have to admit i don't especially like shopping... and i frequently have i hate people days... a good attitude for a customer service oriented industry...
mrtnmoon said:a woman that hates shopping?!?! wow... call ripley's.
I can relate to the attitude, tho. I'm not really into food service and not all that comfortable around the elderly.... so you can see I found myself the perfect job. lol.
no... I still have no clue what I wanna be when I grow up.nowgirl said:is this what you wanted to be when you growed up?

when I was a kid I wanted to be a rock star or a radio d.j. what was your dream job? also saw in another thread where you'll probably be watching a movie tomorrow night. do you know yet what you're going to watch?
owner of an island. hmmm... is that even a job?nowgirl said:what was my dream job as a kid? i wanted to be the owner of an island where me & my girlfriends would ride horses and write stories & eat snowcones...
no - no plans for the movie... any recommendations?
as long as I don't have to change my name to julie, I'll take any job.nowgirl said:hhhmmm - thinks of what moon's job could be on my island? nothing related to food service.... maybe music director?? or entertainment director - like julie on the loveboat!!
i hardly ever see movies & i swear the last one i saw was the holiday!!! i love jack black. my only gripe is that why did we have to see so much of the stereotypical "hot" couple (cameron & jude) kinda nekkid & never kate & jack? they never even really smooched....
what are you doing this weekend?
mrtnmoon said:as long as I don't have to change my name to julie, I'll take any job.![]()
hmmmm.... I never even thought about the nekkid factor of the holiday. maybe that's because I'd rather see cameron diaz nekkid than kate winslet. does that make me a bad man? my own disappointment was that cameron had a "dancing around" scene (like in "charlie's angels", I think it was) but she had on more than just her panties.
this weekend... work. ugh. have to be in at 6 am tomorrow and 6:30 sunday and monday.
yourself?
I guess I misundertood... last night when you were having trouble sleeping I thought you had to work today. since you were up so late, I reckon it's good that you didn't... you'd be a very tired little kitty. (now where did that come from?)nowgirl said:no it doesn't make you a bad man! girls dancin' nekkid? a typical man maybe???
not sure about weekend... i work sat & sun but have today off... thinking i'm gonna meet some girlfriends, have a cocktail or three and flirt with boys...

plans for tonight sound like fun... those boys better watch out. what's your cocktail of choice?
MGD? you might not believe this, given that we already had that "holiday" coincidence, but on the occasions when I do enjoy an adult beverage MGD is likely to be the first thing I reach for. back when I was playing music a lot I called it "nectar of the gods". when it comes to more potent drinks, I like the bloody mary, or any number of alcoholic drinks that don't really taste like alcohol. I love oatmeal cookies, so I was very pleasantly surprised when I discovered a mixed drink by that name.nowgirl said:laughs - no misunderstanding - it IS my day off but i had to go to work early this morning - was there by 7:30.... left at 11:30 & now am starting my day off. (got that!?)
my cocktail of choice? i hate to admit it but miller genuine draft in a bottle. not very kitten like, eh? or a vodka martini.
do you enjoy an adult beverage on occasion?
