My story submissions aren't being processed

My story submissions aren't being processed. I've got eight of them in line. Some of them I submitted 7 days ago. They haven't been accepted or rejected, just shown as still pending. It doesn't usually take this long. What's going on ?

A contest just started, and contest submissions get priority. That's probably why.

Also, if you click on the pending link, that particular submission gets sent back to the end of the line.

Yeah, I found that out the hard way, man. Whatever you do, don't touch your story once you've submitted, ever!

Contest is undoubtably part of it, as is the fact that clicking on your story reads to Lit as you editing it and sends it to the rear of the line/.

Also, despite the fact that it says 72 hours, that dates to a time when Lit was less busy. A week to 10 days is fairly normal now.

But I just had a new one (my first Lit release in about 18 months) show up today, so the pipeline is being worked...
