Hi y'all.

I apologize for the editing errors in my story that was posted today. Rather embarrassing that in several instances I used message instead of massage.

I read and reread the story over and over again, but I somehow missed those mistakes. I'm sorry about that and hope it didn't affect everyone's (hoped) enjoyment of the story. I'll try to be more carefull next time.

Thank you for caring.

I send my stories to five different people and without fail, the minute one posts, I see this glaring error that all of us missed. I think it's a universal rule.

Let me point you toward the volunteer editors. They don't bite...well, not hard, at least. They have their own link and you get to choose which one you think will work best with you. Good luck with your writing.

Hi wordmage. I recall receiving an e-mail from you a little while back in response to one of my posts.

Did you get a chance to read my story? What did you think?

Anyway, thanks for your post reply. As a first time submittant (I don't think that's a word), it's rassuring to hear that I'm not just some pathetic amateur that can't write worth a F#@%. At least I hope I'm not.

Submittant? Darling, if that's a word you can tie me up anytime!

Be nice, Gil. There's no spell checker on the BB.

Jenifer, it's a good first effort, even with the misused words. I sent you an E-Mail about your story, so I'll only say here, that it's well worth reading.

Sorry Jen

I was bit punchy when I posted the above.

Maybe one postprandial libation too many.

Anyway, I liked your word so much, I've used it in another thread.

Hey Jennifer! Just wanted to give you some additional support. I like to think that I'm really good at catching my mistakes. I was pleased with the short little bio I had labored over for my member profile last week. I was even arrogantly considering being a volunteer editor. Then, when I read it today, I realized there was a typo in it. My "take a walk on the wild side" was "talk a walk on the wild side." So other than feeling like a complete goof, life is good!

I'll read something 5 times over in a row and still miss a simple mistake.

I think it's probably best to read it over a few times after having taken a break for a while. When I pick up my little mistakes, invariably it's after I haven't looked at the story for a while and then rereading it I notice the mistake right away and I can't imagine how I didn't catch it in the first place.

Anyway, despite the mistakes and my use of "creative" words, hopefully the story was okay.

Wow! My first story ever breaks into the top twenty at # 10.

Thanks everybody!
