If at first you don't succeed, sky diving is not for you.

Not learning from your mistakes is a bad thing.
But it's not always a mistake. Exploring one's boundaries is the only way to open new horizons.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

So is continuing to risk a bad thing?

I wasn't saying that taking risks was a mistake. I was saying that if you make a mistake, and you don't work to correct it, then that's a bad thing.

I was only referring to the risk-taking.

But yes. I try to correct my mistakes, always. Always. Because some mistakes can only be made once.

the world is dynamic. if perfection were to be attained, continued effort would nonetheless be required to sustain it.

oh, there is definitely such a thing as perfection; the perfect day, the perfect sunset; the perfect kiss. it's there. you just have to know how to see it.

Beauty. But not perfection.

Mhm. That's something I'd agree with. I think of it like diminishing returns. You're going to put more and more in for less and less, until you're putting in massive amounts of energy/effort for very little reward. But then, and only then, do I think you're close to perfection. Never quite there, but close.

just saw a T25 commercial and was reminded of you. it must be satisfying to get through the first few days of that program and have it as a part if your routine. keep at it. you're gonna feel great.

It does. I thought about trying out their shake powder, but despite the initial 7-day trial I don't really feel like spending $130 a month for the supply. I'm already eating healthy as it is :)

Oh it's meetings a pleasure and it's parting a grieve
And an unconstant lover is worse not a thief
For the thief he will rob you and just steal what you have
But an unconstant lover will follow you to your grave
For the thief he will rob you and just steal what you have
But an unconstant lover will follow you to your grave

Oh they'll buy you fine trinkets, fine garments and flowers
And they'll call in at tea-time to pay their devours
They'll swear that they love you by the light of the moon
And propose marriage? No, sherry cobblers at Taylor's Saloon.

Ah but when you are married look out for your hub
'Cause evenings you spend at the old fellows' club
At the officer's store he was kept, he'll pretend
And so he was too, drinking rum with a friend
At the officer's store he was kept, he'll pretend
And so he was too, drinking rum with a friend

But fortunes are false and a fickle young day
And it's worse than bad luck for to die an old maid
And the best of all blessings we can meet in this life
Is a kind, loving husband and a good-tempered wife
And the best of all blessings we can meet in this life
Is a kind, loving husband and a good-tempered wife

I don't own a kindle. I agree with you about paper books!

If anything, people with e-readers are missing out on being able to slam a book shut when someone annoys you. Fiercely pressing the power button just lacks that 'oomf' factor.

Agreed. Also I love to sit in bed and read next to a lover, each of us sharing the best passages with each other. It is not the same with an electronic device...
