Holy crappola, Batman...that is lower than when we bought the house 2 years ago!!

What is your mortgage rate?

I know, I know, I know! I need to refinance! I've thought about this constantly lately! I have an adjustable-rate, which is due to be adjusted in Sept. Don't ask my interest rate, the answer would make us both sick! I just don't know if I want to refinance, as I've only owned the house a year and put a considerable amount down on it.

Cath,

I'm so bummed - yours is so very low. I refinanced around the end of summer and it was somewhere around the low 5's or something like that.

It figures it would go even lower because I've just done it. Murphy's Law is my life....lol

Ok Cath...spill it, how do you have 3.5%? We just refinanced and got 6.5 for 30 years, and we have over 180k down on the house.

Don't forget that I am in BC, though. And we have a variable mortgage so it goes up and down with the rates...BUT...3.5% is pretty fucking awesome!!

Oh, and Midnight? I love the av...I saw SG's earlier today and wondered when I would see the other half... :)

Dayum...........how in the hell did you get one so low? Is it an ARM? What? Fixed for 30 years?

Details, details.........heck I just got my mortgage in July and might hafta call your mortgage lender and see if I can get refinanced........

Do you know if they would re-finance since I have only had the house less than 7 months? That is just a great deal, here I thought I had a good one at less than 6%.

:)

lol..when you consider that ours is 3.5% Canadian...it would be about 0% in the US!! It is a 5-year open variable one I think.

oh, okay. You posted that part after I post my reply.

My interest rate is less than 6% (Fixed for 30 years), which in my eyes is pretty good.

well

Well fuck my dog with a pogo stick....Cath you did good girl!!

We became first time homeowners, just last month. We secured a morgage rate of 6.5%, just before they slipped up to 7%. We're pleased. :) We could have never afforded this house in Jersey.

If you tranzlate 3.5% to *real* money, it is about 7.9%, give or take.
