My cat just had kittens, I have a question.

She went into labour about 6 hours ago and had an easy birth within two hours having two kittens....

Now she seems fine and the kittens are soooooooo cute.

Last year she had four of them... She does look happy and not stressed at all.

My question is only having two kittens comman???

She is a tortose shell. One kitten is smokey black and the other one ginger...

I have named the ginger one "Jasper" as my great Aunt had a tiger style ginger cat and I loved the huge thing it was... I will let the kids name the other one. My husband named the mother and she is "Bobbie".

Anyone remember that movie Kurt Russel did when he was a kid, it had a ginger cat in it. Though I think the movie was B&W...

The kittens look lovely this morning. Mother cat walks out of her little house to me now and then to bring me to look at them.

Once they venture out I shall take some photos.

I'd say 3-5 are most common. Don't be afraid to pick up strays, I found the cutest and nicest one 6months ago. I also gotta wolf dog and they snuggle up together, very strange in an angelic sorta way.
