Someone of the opposite sex.
He loves me enough to give me hell when I need it. He is able to make my day happy with just one little message. He gives me support to make it through the tough times. He lets me vent as often as I need to. He shows me what striving to be better can do for all concerned. He is able to criticize without judgement. He is just there...all the time...for everything. I love my best friend. My life would not be the same without him.

I know just how you feel, without my best friend my life would not be the same either!

that's nice...but shouldn't you be telling him that, not us?

I'm sure they make wonderful greeting cards for just this sort of thing.

"He loves me enough to give me hell when I need it. "?

Umm, you are far too much of an angel to ever need to be given hell. You are made from sugar cubes, thats why you are so cute!

darlin...I tell him that on a regular basis.

I spoke of my best friend...but the thread is done so that you or anyone else may speak of their own best friends.

Consider it as an ode to a best friend. Damn, where were you when I was thinking of a title???

yikes...no wonder I am diabetic! :)

My best friend and I met in 8th grade (over 30 years ago I think). We've been through EVERYTHING possible together. We also have lived thousands of miles apart for most of our adult lives. We're both totally honest with each other (and like each other anyway). Sometimes we may go months without talking, and when we do again, it's like we're just down the street from each other and just saw each other the day before. We pick up right where we left off.

Actually, I should clarify that I do have a lifetime best friend.

She reminds me a lot of someplace's best friend except that we met at the age of 16 while fighting over a guy. I won by getting her as my best friend. I helped her to deliver her baby this summer...probably one of the most moving experiences in my life. I love her for who she is and the fact that she doesn't pretend to be what she is not.

Side note...*note to self...do not wear short skirts around Bluesboy*

Sidenote cont...not pinchable...no way, no how. But I do have a great bridge to sell. ;)

My best friend is someone of the opposite sex too. We've known each other for 25 years and I love him more than anything. Is it bad to say he's a pretty good kisser too? Are best friends supposed to know stuff like that?
