I just got up to pee and discovered that she had not only gotten out a new roll of toilet paper, but that she had even put it on the holder! It made me feel all choked up thinking about how good she is to me. Sure, everyone will get a new roll out if they come to the end, but only the truly exceptional put it where it goes.

She does love me. I'm exceptionally lucky.

So in this thread, tell something about your best friend or a good friend. The things that make 'em great. Big or small, no matter. Just tell.

Wow! you see that is the difference between girl and guys friends. My guy friends just make fun of me, they make me buy them drinks, and they fart when I sit down beside them. I like your pee love, more than my fart love.

Gee that sounded weird didn't it?

:p

My best friend tells me fart jokes, goes golfing with me (and never says a word when I show her the proper way to chip onto a green for the 100th time). She let's me diss her boyfriend, doesn't give me that wierd look when I ask if we can swing buy the adult bookstore, and even took me to Hooters for beers!

Now..if I could only get her to marry me.

Find 'Em Hot- Leave 'Em Wet ;)

I have a few really great friends...

One sends me sweet morning pm's that make my day! (though it has been a lil while)

One is there when I need a place to have a mini vacation!

One is there to enjoy motherhood with.

One is there to...hmm...I'm gonna keep that one underwraps due to the possible incriminating nature of what she has been there for in the past.

I'm actually quite lucky because my friends all go way beyond these tiny mentions here. Each one of them is a Godsend and I am very grateful to have them in my life...I am so very lucky!

Okay, corny story time. :D

I've had my sights set on a degree in Psychology for quite a while now. The past year or two has left me a lot further from my goal than I'd like to be.

About 6 months ago, I landed a job with a trucking brokerage. I love it. I still want to get my degree, but I've wondered if I should take the easy route and just get a degree that would further my current "career".

I mentioned to my boyfriend that I was thinking of getting a degree in Logistics instead of chasing this crazy dream of being a psychologist.

He said, "I don't know. I think that psychology degree sounds like fun. You should go for it, if that's what you want."

Eh. He just has a way of bringing me around and making me smile. He makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

One night my bestfriend and I were going to go out for dinner with another friend of ours. She came and picked me up and on our way to our friends house we were talking about oldies but goodies on the radio. I said to her that I would love if "Born To Be Wild" would come on. Next thing I know her and I are singing the song at the top of our lungs, word for word with the radio turned off. We are jamming out hardcore like as if the song was on the radio. We laughed about it after we were done singing, saying that anyone who saw us probably thought we were nuts. I always cherished that as a fun moment shared between her and I. I thought it only meant a lot to me.

Well, for Christmas she bought me one of those Dancing Hamster key chains. At first I was like "What is this?" thinking it was a cheap gift. But then I squeezed his hand and he sings "Born To Be Wild" I bawled like a baby. It really meant a lot to me to find out that she was fond of that memory as much as I am. It may not have been a life changing moment, but it really meant a lot. And that has to be one of my favorite gifts I received for Christmas.

She's not my best friend, in any sense of the word best, but she is my hoooomegirl. She cuts, colors, styles and straightens my hair for free (she always gets something from me), even though she has a whole salon to run. She gives the best hugs in the world and her laugh is infectious and sincere. She and I can share any music with eachother and we both know we'll like it. She's funky, she's funny and she's too hot to trot. Big ups!

My girl. My girl. My girl.

my best girl friend rocks cus she just KNOWS when I'm upset.. she calls on those days when I just need a hug (we live a few hours apart). She also rocks cus she writes me amazing letters of why she loves being my best friend every year on both my birthday and the anniversary of the day we met (Easter Sunday, almost 18 years ago now).

My best guy friend (my SO) rocks cus he knows when I need things before I say a word... like, he'll get me some tea when I'm not feeling well, or he'll bring over a blanket before I start to shiver... *grin* I'm so lucky. :D

I'm really busy right now, but thought I would add to this thread really quick.

My best friend drives me home when I'm drunk. He watches my ass at parties to make sure I don't get it kicked. He doesn't yell at me if I puke in his car. He'll keep on listening to me talk about a girl I went out with 5 years ago, same conversation, thousands of times. He's always willing to drive, even though I live way farther from him than I used to. There's more, but I have to get back to what I was doing.

He's a good guy.

Another someone:

She's one of the best friends I have never met yet.

Whenever we talk, I feel instantly giddy. She makes me smile and laugh out loud. She's non-judgemental, positive, and optimistic. She has great taste in music.

She understands.

My best friend is a drunken idiot..ahh well I keep him around to boost my own self esteem.

My best friend is Lost Cause - 'nuff said. :D

The perfect best friend would

1) Give me unconditional love.
2) Warn me about intruders and/or even attack them.
3) Always run around naked.
4) Keep me warm.
5) Never disrespect me.
6) Always be ready to play.
7) Always go outside to take a shit. :D

I must mention DRxBlue by name, specifically.

He's simply the sweetest man I've ever met. He is a brilliant mad scientist and he tells me about his experiments. We interact in incredible tangents, and it's always an adventure.

I love him every day.

Oooo....and i NEED that!

i think the traffic of just giddy-making joy runs both ways between me and Freya. i know that since we have found each other EVERYTHING is brand new again.

It's like the wonder you feel when your child finds beauty and fascination in something you would have thought humdrum and everyday. (i imagine...i have no children  Thank Who)

i think she does that to all the great people she meets. We're all kind of "knitted" together into the fabric she weaves.

Oh happy fate! i no longer use superlatives when referring to friends (Freya's idea) because there are so MANY people i consider dearly loved ones, each one is just the BEST!

Thanks Spooky,
i'll always love ya, every day:kiss:

I used to have friends...until i see things like this, I usually manage to put the lack of friends out of my mind.

My best friend will let me shower with her when we're late going somewhere just so we can both be clean and on time! God, I miss her!

I know this one woman who is like no other I've ever known. She's the smartest, most honest, happifyin', giggle-inducin', beautiful in mind and everything else, chillin'est, cold-pimpin' girl I know. She's more dope than horse-shaped soap on a rope, and I'm über-happy to have made her acquaintance. She never fails to make me smile and her musical mind is so very keen.

Much love, girl.
